The Holy Spirit was not promised to individuals apart from the body of Christ. His coming is for the church as the body of Christ. Go it alone individualism is not biblical.
Neither is accepting the traditions of men whether they are called saints or not. I am not saying to go it alone but I am saying thta you had better have a personal relationship shaped with conversation, honesty, and love with Jesus and yes, the Holy Spirit will teach you aside from man if you let Him, if not your loss

Your posts always complain about the traditions of men. I do not follow such traditions if they are truly against the holy scriptures. Your posts never allow for traditions that are not "of men" but of God. That's a pity. But you must follow the traditions of your faith community - traditions that you may think are not really traditions at all.

The Holy Spirit wasn't promised to those who don't have faith in Christ. The issue is deciding who actually comprise the parts of the body of the Christ. Fortunately the way to do this is written and too made apparent by the Holy Spirit.

Your statement is irrelevant; we all know that the Holy Spirit is for the faithful. That doesn't mean it's for any specific congregation or denomination what so ever; most assuredly not Rome with her long record of atrocities. Not poking at your denomination, just pointing out that the Spirit of GOD isn't limited to groups that man decrees, but those that GOD chose.

Peace

How would you know if the traditions are adverse to scripture when you rely on the same people to direct you towards the correct interpretation who set the traditions in the first place?

Wouldn't it make much more sense to actually know of the correct tradition or practice based on the conscience; being certain it reflects the teachings of the Christ in all ways?

What I'm trying to say is that you seem to be basing your own position off of the very traditions in question.

Sorry, I don't want to fight. I just thought it needed to be noted.

Peace

The very fact that there is no evidence of moving away from Babylon when the Lord said "Get out" indicates eyes are not yet open, hear Him not, and understand the truth for anyone. The traditions of "the" fathers direct this path is not spiritually healthy for anyone.

Let God decide. His is the only decision that counts in this matter. Everybody else is just offering opinions.

That will be too little to late for those who do not move now towards preparing to meet Him.

It will be right on time and perfect as everything that God does is.

Where two or three are gathering in my name.... Seek ye first the kingdom of God... Search and you shall find... Ask and it shall be given unto you... Knock and the door shall be open... Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Sounds liked individuals can receive the promise without being in a church body...

Signs are everywhere, like the wind gently blowing, which if ignored will find themselves in the whirlwind that is coming.

That verse is speaking to believers and doesn't compare to corporate worship. Even Jesus went to the temple for corporate worship.

But it does speak to the individual and personal nature of our relationship with Jesus

Except it requires two or more and not just one - so individuals are not what the verse is about, right?

perhaps not but without thta personal relationship the rest is just a party and really does not mean anything. People can sit in church all their lives and not even be saved and if that relationship is not there then they are just warming a seat

Personal relationships without the body of Christ are fictions. One cannot be in Christ's body while denying it.

A true believe sees the sin and shuns it no matter where it is found.

Since the Lord Jesus Christ is God and man in one person without mixing the nature of God into the nature of man or vice versa and since the faithful are the body of Christ it follows that no personal relationship with Christ can exist if the persons claiming the relationship are not in the body of Christ.
