Dont envy you that is a lot of work

You're right on that!

I forgot about my tendinitis in my arm (from January's blizzard and shoveling) and shoveling dirt is bringing it back now. I might have to ice it up later :(

My son's friend is playing here. I sit on my lazy butt. My boyfriend is cleaning up. I am a horrible person. Ex just called. Hey this bike is way too hard and I need to bike 10 mins. Can you bring the other bike? Who cares if I have to bike. We do not want his legs to hurt. That face from my friend who then drives to bring me back. Why doesn't he fix that third bike? It only has a flat tire? What did you just say? Dad fix a bike???? Lol.

Just jumping from website to website. Today I am having dinner with a friend of mine. We are having pot roast which I haven't had in ages.

I haven't had pot roast beef in decades! But I remember making it and that it was delicious with lovely roasted vegetables.

She's making the pot roast in a crock pot so it should be really good!

I just put a handful of small screws and nuts into my ultrasonic cleaner. I got myself one of those little steel balls normally used for brewing tea, which is perfect because it goes in my ultrasonic basket and makes sure the tiny parts of a clock don't end up in the drainage pipe. Wondering how nicely they will shine when they come out.

The nuts turned out really nice, they are actually brass colored under all the grime. The screws are even nicer, they were blued at some point in their life but the general grime covered it up. I had to be careful drying them off - too much heat could cause them to temper further and lose that glorious blue.

It's early evening, just woke up. Was actually awake for a few hours this afternoon, after a sleep. Just used em to make myself some toast with olive oil, cooked onions and cucumber. And relax. Then back to sleep. Another 6 hours. Heavenly. Feel so much better. I needed that extra sleep.

Glad I re-bought a book I had in the early nineties. It was for guitar, but I miss it. Had all the scales and modes, including the more exotic ones in one volume. Excellent. Been a great refresher for a few things. Banged out and wrote down a few more chord/scale progressions I wouldn't likely have thought of otherwise. Good music mind food.

I'm getting ready for church. I hope I'm awake enough for the long drive.

Just finished mowing, whipper snipping and spraying half my yard. Yeah - just half. I still have not gone to sleep from night shift and am a bit exhausted but I had to do something substantial today with it. Finally get a few dry days among weeks of mostly rain - and right on a day where I don't have to get ready for work in another 8 hours or so. That means, sleep for 7 then get ready in 1.

I would like to completely ditch the Round Up - but I'm not to that point yet. Also got a new more powerful blender recently - which actually will have a role in my yard. Corn meal, spread on places where I do not want plants to take root. I understand it is a good way to stop germination (will probably only work on weeds that seed though - grass with roots will be tougher). Anyway - I have a huge bag of cracked, dry corn that I bought for this purpose -normally feed for stock - but for me it's going to be turned into cornmeal with my new blender - then spread in areas I don't want seeding weeds to take root and grow.
