a small pendant given to my parents in the early 1970's. the inscription is almost faded and cant really see what it says. its oval shaped...i think the date is 1920's..there is a religious figure standing with arms out..on the back, is 2 hearts with the letter "m" and a cross protruding from it. could be worth something..i would need to have an appraisal to inspect it and tell me what it is

I have a 1904 penny someplace. I'm not sure where it's at, but it's here somewhere!

We have an old rocking chair that use to belong to my wife's grandmother. I think it is over a hundred years old now.

I used to have those golden coins from my aunt, but my messiness made them get lost.

I have a pocket watch inscribed with initials that leave both myself and my wife scratching our heads because we're not aware of anyone in the family with those initials. It's one of these "to ABC, from DEF" kind of inscriptions, which should make it easier but doesn't. Our best guess is that it relates to her father's cousin's grandparents but we're not sure. It's dated 1903.

I've got a few coins floating about that date to the 1880s, and a coin that was once a silver half-dollar that's so badly worn you wouldn't know what it was without a bit of research. The date is just about readable - 1870. That's the oldest thing I can think of, off the top of my head. There are a few old things kicking around in dark corners here, so I may yet unearth something older still.

My Napoleon III coin is from 1856.

It looks like this (except it is much more worn)

I Think it's worth about 0.50 AUD or so :)

Water is over four BILLION years old.... making it perhaps the oldest thing in my home? lol

So that saying "older than dirt" should really be "older than water"?
