So who has been to New Zealand? :) (I haven't, BTW...)

I'm a Canuck, and Air New Zealand has started flying to Vancouver, BC.

A trip to Australia - for those who live far away - is enhanced by stopping off in NZ - it's a perennial toss up whether Auckland or Wellington is the better port of entry...

I'd like to do the Cook Strait ferry run between Wellington, NI and Picton, SI, through the Marlborough Sounds; the pictures seem pretty impressive. :)

We have friends there. What particularly interests me about the Picton Ferry route is that I read one of Katherine Mansfield's short stories which is all about the Picton ferry.

Oh I've been to the old Zealand also... :) (Hoe gaat het? :) )

There is New Zealand; Zeeland, The Netherlands; Sjaeland, Denmark. (I think Abel Tasman has something to do with the Dutch connection... :) )

Hi there; Australia and NZ certainly have the wide open spaces. They do have cities, too; in fact, a lot of the population is city based.

From up here in Canada, Air New Zealand now flies from Vancouver to NZ; I think they also go from LAX.

I talked to someone who went to NZ who seemed like that she had become drunk on impressive scenery and could not take any more! (She's a teetotaler, but you know what I mean.)

I saw a video on youtube once from someone who hiked in New Zealand. Wonderful, beautiful nature plus I could just sit on my couch with a phone and didn't have to hike. Maybe try those new virtual reality glasses they have.

Well, there is the Milford Track, in South Island, which is a popular hiking track. I'll try to find a link.

It was featured years ago in the National Geographic Magazine.

I've been a few times. In the early 2000's, I went with my wife(now deceased) for a holiday - and also a few years back I went by myself to do some snowboarding.
