good evening dear friends..wasnt on recently...one of my flash drives malfunctioned..thought i lost all 10.000 files..but was able to somehow access it and copy to another flash and also save them on cloud...

You must have been horrified at first! Glad you got things saved I have a lot of my artwork saved in multiple spots...just in case!

I heard this before and wondered if there was any manipulation to the soundtrack as suggested on some other sites? Do you know if it was ever resolved?

Send me or link me some cricket sounds and I can check using some audio software I use - (too lazy to look myself atm)

I recorded 30 seconds of that, then reduced the overall speed (reducing tempo and pitch) by 50% each time - all the way down to 0.0078125 - less than 1% of the speed. The last stretch comes in at over 1 hour and 5 minutes!

I'll post a video when I take the time to put it together - although I'll have to just give samples of the longer clips (I will indicate where it corresponds to - on the longer clip - so 15 seconds into the original will indicate around 30 seconds into the next reduced speed clip and so on)

I had a similar thought to Lam when I saw the Crickets "sound like humans singing slowed down" - doubt. Gorgeous if it were true, but still...someone's making money off this selling CD's at 10 bucks a pop.

Anywho - I took a short clip from the youtube video Lam posted above where it was clear there were multiple crickets making cricket sounds, and only cricket sounds. Originally the clip I used was 30 seconds - but I decided to use a 5 second clip where it is clear it is multiple crickets chirping - and not just one.

To save time, I reduced speed down to only to 3.125% by decreasing increments of 50%. Any lower and playing the full clip at the lowered speeds would take a long time.

I have not audio edited this in any way except to reduce the speed (which reduces the tempo and pitch). The original was duplicated, then reduced by 50%. That new version was duplicated and reduced by 50% and so on.

So without further ado...
