I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a protein bar for lunch. An intern in our office left cookies in the employee kitchen today too.

Baked potato..... I've never met a potato I didn't like. One of the basic food groups.

Meat loaf..... one of my fave comfort foods. Hard to make good but good meat loaf is a really good thing.

[I'd skip the cauliflower.... one of the FEW vegies I'm just not fond of, surprising because I'm a big lover of all green stuff (wait a minute.... Cauliflower ain't green!)

For meat loaf I use a mixture of ground beef, pork, and veal, makes an excellent meat loaf

.... all ground beef tends to make it dense and dry. Hey, somewhere, maybe you'd share the recipe?

I just finished off some lemon-lime flavored cordial with added orange peel powder for the extra Vitamin C and tang.

Earlier I had rice, sprouted lentils, liquid smoke, raw red cabbage, salt and olive oil.

And bacon.

Yes, that's right - witness the hypocrisy and duplicity of someone who has extolled the benefits of pork dietary exclusion admit to eating it.

I still believe in those dietary restrictions from a health and religious standpoint.

I also live in the west and have a weakness for bacon.

You may have a go at me but don't pat me on the back. :ewink:

Big meal :)

I cooked some turkey mince (about 400 g) with two large onions, tomato paste (about two tablespoon fulls), crushed tomatoes, chilli, pepper, salt, spices, and some water to make a meat-sauce for use with rice and pasta. I've had two rice with sauce meals so far, am planning (God willing) to have a pasta meal with meat sauce tonight.

I saw an interesting video about foods and heart health last night. Here's the URL. If you are inclined to watch it let me know what you think after viewing it.

He discourages nuts - too much oil he says and probably tastes too good too :p
