Math Help Boards
Many math help sites will simply post full solutions to posted problems...we try to take a different approach by providing guidance and engaging the student in the process, reckoning that the student will benefit more. This takes more effort on our part, and makes us less popular to the majority who just want their work done for them, but we feel it is worth the extra effort.
We also have an active forum where our users can post problems as a challenge to others, and we have an ongoing problem of the week (POTW) in 3 categories: high school, university and graduate level. We have kept this up without fail week after week for over 4 years now.

If I am honest Bill, a lot of the content there is beyond me too. Only the small handful of users we designate as "MHB Math Scholars" (who are PhDs.) are knowledgeable enough to help with the graduate level problems for the most part.

Yesterday turned out to be a really good one! We went for a 2 hour hike and saw a lot of wildlife. My husband wanted to go see fireworks but I didn't want to deal with the crowd so we stayed home. We could hear the fireworks from the house but couldn't see them because of the trees and hills. I am just not a fireworks person.

Yeah, when I first did the "New Posts" search, I thought: Hey we got a new and active user! Cool! (I didn't pay attention to the fact that the username had staff markup)
Then, when I entered a thread in which Bill had last posted, I thought: Hey this new user has Bill's avatar!
Then, when I saw the signature and posts I knew were Bill's, only then did I realize a username change had taken place. Yep, feelin' kinda slow right about now...:birgits_giggle:
