Is there something from scripture that makes you uncomfortable?

For me, I always hated the part in the Old Testament where the bear mauled the children but that's because I didn't understand God's plan in setting aside His people for the line of the Savior. 2 Kings 2:24 When he looked behind him and saw them, he cursed them in the name of the LORD. Then two female bears came out of the woods and tore up forty-two lads of their number.

IT also say don't be presumptive. Salvation is conditional.

OK and that is a good thing for without the Law of God we are without moral guidelines, family structure, a society that last for eternity with God, the role of our redeemer, our heavenly high priest mediating on our behalf and a King like Yeshua.

That was just a bad character trait of Elisha who got offended by nothing. God didn't tell him to curse them. Simi yelled much worse curses at David and he forgave him.

Well, I didn't want this thread to be about my personal uncomfortable portion. I was hoping others would make statements, such as what Josiah did. :)

Dunno. I like to either skip or push away from my memory the parts I don't like LOL. I never read the entire O.T. Once they start to fight I'm like: hey let's go read a nice Psalm or something from the N.T. When you then get all these nasty fights with the pharisees I skip that too.
That way I'm always happy. The father of Corrie ten Boom read the Bible like that when they were kids. Then when she got older she was shocked. Oh man, once on an atheist forum they came with all these questions about stuff I never even read, a bunch of angry ex christians. They called me a New Testament sugar believer hahahahahahaha.
My mother said that her mother always said: stop Jeremiahing.
That means stop whining and complaining and being negative. I never read that book. Never read Job. Sometimes I just threw the Bible open and started to read somewhere and thought: Huh?? What is this?? Oh my, it's a friend of Job speaking falsehoods God says at the end of the story. No need to read it. The part about Behemoth is interesting though.
