Saved from sin is another way of saying saved from breaking the commandments of God.

IF that were the case, then the saved would never sin, never fall short, never miss the mark ("sin").... they would be righteous like God, holy like God, loving like God.... they would have the same attitude and life as Christ. BUT the Bible says that NO ONE is righteous, no, not even one. The Bible says that NO ONE is even good (only God exclusively). The Bible says that ALL fall short and miss the mark. The Bible says that if anyone claims to be without sin, he is a liar and deceives only himself. Paul (SAINT Paul) refers to himself as the "CHIEF of sinners."

Saved has to do with GOSPEL, not Law. It has to do with what CHRIST did, not self regulating Christ a joke and worthless and a waste of time. It has to do with mercy, forgiveness, pardon - not the Jewish/Muslim/Bhatki Hindu view that we received sufficient time and help for self to render self perfect and thus needing no mercy, no forgiveness, no God, no Savior. We are saved from sin, not saved by committing no sin.

saved from sin .so we Don't have to do it any more

We're still waiting for that list of TEN (I'm ONLY asking for just 10) living Christians who don't sin, who always hit the mark, who never fall short, who are perfect just as and to the same extent as God, who are holy just like and to the same extent as God, who have the same attitude and life as Christ.... TEN who will prove the Bible wrong when it stated, "NO ONE is righteous, no, not even one." "For ALL fall short." "ALL miss the mark." "NO ONE is good." "If one claims to be without sin he lies and deceives only himself." And who thus renders Christianity wrong since we don't need no mercy, no SAVIOR....(Christ and the Cross being unnecessary jokes), rather, instead, modern Judaism, Islam and Bhatki Hinduism are right - all we need from God is sufficient TIME and HELP so that we can save ourselves (or more technically, make self unneeding of salvation, a Savior, mercy, forgiveness, pardon cuz self makes self perfect).

Paul was the chief of sinners. He was a wretched man and did what he didn't want to until he found out he was unable to but Jesus could save him and died and got raised with Christ. He hadn't achieved perfection yet, but I can't imagine he kept on killing the saints. He kicked a guy out of church who had the wife of his father. Would be quite hypocrit if he himself was still killing the saints.

I'm trying to get something straight, when you say Saved from breaking the commandments are you saying that you're covered in the blood of the lamb Jesus the Christ when you do sin?

One reason that a lot of non-Christians HATE Christians is because there is a group of Christians who insist they don't do any wrong! They see Christians doing things and wonder why would they ever want to join in a church like that when all it does is tell the world they no longer sin BUT THERE THEY GO! Sure the Gospel tells us that we are covered in Christ and we're being made new creatures but the bible also is telling us that if we say we have no sin the truth is not in us.

Then Paul (like us) was not made sinless/perfect/holy.... he continued to be a sinner. Continued to be in need of the GOSPEL (mercy, forgiveness, pardon, the Savior, the Cross, the Blood - the Gospel). His keeping the Law did not justify Paul because the Law doesn't give life (it kills) and NO ONE (other than Christ Jesus) keeps it. He was never free of sin.

Paul would be a "hypocrite" if he claimed to have no sin when he himself admits that he is CHIEF of sinners; if he (like at least one here at CH) claimed he KEEPS the Ten Commandments) when.... well.....

why is it then that you so often seek to redefine where the fence is when it comes to idolatry ?

Jehovah commanded:
Numbers 21:8-9 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. 9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.
if you're offended at the spoken word of God then you will be offended at the use of images.

Wow you are going to use God to justify all the images your faith uses? The serpent was a picture of Christ not some dead saint

When you cannot cope with what the holy scriptures say then the problem is not with the scripture.

It's what the scripture says that matters.
1Samuel 6:5 So you must make images of your tumours and images of your mice that ravage the land, and give glory to the God of Israel; perhaps he will lighten his hand from off you and your gods and your land.

I give one warning here.
If you all don't stop bashing catholics I become one too LOL.

I'm warning ya all. I'm gonna hang a Mary picture on my wall if you don't stop it.

I would that you would become a Catholic because it is good to do so. The bashing is just part of being a Christian. Those who follow their own ways always have mocked and belittled the faithful of God.

Surely all here are aware that placing anything before the Will of GOD is idol worship.

Faith in selfless Unity for Good.

as stated ever so plainly and often.. to become a roman catholic we would have to disobey the lord Jeuss to follow rome's ways .. we can't serve two masters .
you would that we all disobey the lord Jesus ?

Those who are without a real connection with Him, need the support of Institutional salvation. Mormons offer that.
