My brother once was on a chat site and one woman was so nasty lol he showed me what he did. He used another type of letters and made a sock with her name and posted stupid nonsense pretending he was her. No that's not me! Yes you are! just ruining the conversation. Yeah they'd better not be nasty and mess with Messy's brother. It's terrible he admitted, but funny.

But he also prayed for one who was sick, on a chatbox, of all places. Here let me pray for you. Pain was immediately gone. You don't do voodoo? she asked concerned. Wait he said let me get my doll. Stupid humor of him lol.

That kind of thing isn't what I refer to at all. Pretending to be someone else and posting things to implicate, incriminate or defame another is serious trolling and it is not legal nor moral. It is wicked - especially when the person being imitated is a real person using a real legal name and a real picture.

The weapon I refer to is something else.

I saw a lot of pics on another forum. People here seem kinda normal so I posted one. As soon as you say I'm not holy enough I remove it lol.
I have one or two pics on Facebook too. Lol one absolute terrible one my son posted on Facebook. His brother used Faceswap and swapped my face in his head. It looks monstrous lol. What do I care? It's a compliment that I posted a normal one here. If idiots bother me I take the camel faced pics I also have from myself hahaha or Jaap Aap. I was first Jaap Aap on Facebook. A guy from a dating site wanted to be Facebook friends. He saw my pic. Do you like it? No. Last thing I heard from him lol.

Message boards are searchable if they are public. Great if you have no problems with anyone. Not so great otherwise.

I cannot think of a single MB where I have a real photo in the profile picture. They are either left blank (most of the time) or I make one up myself.

Thinking about this reminds me. I once used to talk to some chic on er...think it was yahoo messenger or something. Not exactly sure what service it was and I can't be certain what username I was using. It got sort of involved and I made a video of myself talking to her. And...uploaded it somewhere.

It's out there floating around somewhere (not on an MB) but I cannot remember where I uploaded it. Gah. So now I keep records of places I visit and what I share and what I upload. I think I should be comforted in the fact though that if I can't find it - no one can, lol.

How do you feel about having your photo posted publicly in your profile such as on a message board?

When I was on staff elsewhere, I was treated absolutely horribly by members...until I added my photo as my avatar. After that members seemed to consider me human again and treated me more kindly.

Thats horrible that people treated you badly just cause you didn't have your real picture posted.

I feel sneaky and a little bad that I found a whole bunch of someone's pics who never posted one to the other place.

I can almost hear them saying - "No fair! You've seen mine and now I want to see yours!" Like we were playing a game of doctor as kids but not really.
