Topical change.
On reflection of theses versus and indeed the entire epistles to the believers..

What is this recreated being capable of?

So from now on we regard no one according to the flesh. Although we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:…-"

It is not a life based on feelings or circumstance but upon what God had already done.
Not a life based on striving in sins but based upon sin conquered.
Not a life of accepting the status quo but based on recognizing and accepting fullness of the authority of God himself invested in us by the Holy Spirit (if we have indeed recieved the holy Spirit.)

So the question im desiring to look into is not only what can this new creature do?

But to look into the realization that..
Since this new creation is made by the power of the very living spirit of GOD himself..

What cant it do ? For All things are possible..

In the spirit all things are possible, knowing Gods will and praying it in situations gives the believer unlimited power to deal with that situation, the key is to be in the spirit and listen to what God is saying

My mother got a vision in church. God gave them all a present in a box and the presents were tools and they were so happy with it and put them in a closet.
You have to use them was the message.

Yeah.. Its started with a realizing.. An application of faith..an action based on what the lord has made us.
So what has the lord made us...
I know experientially that it is easier to know about it then it is to act as if it is actually so...

In my own life, it was the very moment God stepped into my life and opened up His world, my life has never been the same since. I am more a new creation in Him with every encounter with Him, whether through His Word, His Presence in my life, or His transforming my mind with inspirations that could have only come from Him. I love Him.

So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.

Look further..bigger,wider..:)

If he is the head over every ruler and authority..
And we are complete in union with him..then we are complete in union
with as head over every ruler and authority..

Its way BIG.. Astoundingly so..

We are a new creation, but still being built up in faith. Have you moved a mountain lately?

Is it within the will of God to move it?

The scripture is the scipture..
The truth is the truth.

This new creation is indwelled by the spirit of the living God.. What then cant it do?

Only that which the unregenerated mind refuses to believe.
For this reason we MUST renew our minds.
To agree with all God has already accomplished in christ for us.
In this we can be greatly edified and built up in faith.
There is no point focussing on what i cant do..by that i must decrease tat he might increase. For he in me cando all things.and as the scriptures say.. We are in union with him.
We are made co hiers ..all that is christs is also ours.
All authority
It must be grasped by faith which calls those things which are not as though they already are.

I don't accept that "NEW CREATION" = morally perfect, obedient.

IF that were true, all Christians would be sinless, righteous, always "hitting the mark." But the BIBLE says that NO ONE is righteous, no, not even one. The Bible says for ALL fall short of the mark. The Bible says if anyone CLAIMS to be sinless, he LIES and DECEIVES himself. Paul says that he is NOT perfect, that he is the "CHIEF of sinners."

And IF it were true that "new creation" = sinless, without need for Christ or mercy, then we'd be able to document that the 2.2 billion Christians NEVER do wrong. Christian nations would have far, far, far lower crime rates than non-Christian ones. There would be a huge, objective, documented difference - we'd see these "new Creations" being absolutely, perfectly, perpetually PERFECT even as and to the same extent that God is...... HOLY even as and to the same extent that God is.... LOVING even as and to the same extent that God is.... LIVING exactly as Christ did.... with the SAME attitude that Christ has (you know, doing what God commands, being obedient). Do we? Is there objective evidence the Bible lies when it says that NO ONE keeps the Law, NO ONE obeys (new creation or old)? Does the USA have a MUCH lower crime rate than Kuwait being that most Americans are Christians and most Kuwaitess are not? OR do we conclude that all who are NOT perfect ergo are not Christians and not saved? Therefore, are there no Christians since there are none who are perfect?

Yes.... Christians have the Holy Spirit, we are New Creations.... we have a great advantage! But this advantage doesn't MAKE us Christians, it's the RESULT OF BEING a Christian (it belongs to sanctification NOT justification!). And while it is an advantage, it does NOT make us obedient and it does NOT make us sinless and it does NOT make the Gospel a joke, it does not make Christ a joke, it does not make Scripture errant, it does NOT mean that Christainity is wrong and rather Judaism, Islam and Bhakti Hinduism are right - we DO save/justify ourselves by being OBEDIENT (who needs Christ? Mercy? The Cross? We just need TIME and HELP to be our own savior).

The New Adam within us is only perfect because Christ covers us. Our faith is not yet perfected yet though...

Philippians 1:6New American Standard Bible (NASB)

6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

Interesting verse. The GNB says Philippians 1:6 And so I am sure that God, who began this good work in you, will carry it on until it is finished on the Day of Christ Jesus.

I wonder if that implies that the work of Christ in the faithful is not complete until the Day of Christ Jesus and I wonder if that day is intended to point to the last judgement and bodily resurrection.
