So the folk who did nothing because they never saw a need (or opportunity) and apparently never had a desire to serve the suffering, needy, hungry, poor and so forth are the ones that you think were trying to earn their way to heaven? Come on, you can't be serious. Oh, and seriously, where does the passage say that the "goats" were non-believers? That isn't said anywhere in the passage. They were non-doers. They seem to have acknowledged Jesus as their Lord but they didn't DO a thing to live-out that belief in their lives.

The folk who receive a commendation from the Lord and are welcomed into heaven are the ones who did help the poor, hungry, suffering and so forth. They did it without even thinking that by so doing they were serving the Lord himself yet they were. It takes a special kind of blindness not to notice the words "Then the King will say to those at his right hand, 'Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' "
Exactly right

The goats are always the non-believers just as the weeds are. We know there are goats within the church who try to work their way to salvation instead of trusting in the Lord's work. Those who rely on themselves break the first commandment since they would much rather make themselves their own Saviors.

The Holy Spirit guides the believers into producing fruit. It's not the cause of salvation at all since they are already believers, having faith. Saved by grace through faith.

Sorry, that isn't what the passage says and you can't expect anybody making a serious attempt to understand the passage to just assume that goats means unbelievers when the passage says that these people who are like goats in the analogy that opens the passage say "Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?'"

You underline Lord, does that mean you think they are believers too? They get separated on the left and that is where the unbelievers are. There are hypocrites in the church calling God Lord who don't believe and try to work their way to salvation.

He guides them into producing fruit...as you say.

To me the gospel is the center of the story of redemption. Everything revolves around Yeshua. You read about Him to learn about His Kingdom, His Way, His Life, His Truth. Then follow Him. If you need answers, you return to the gospel, to seek and find. It is there you find the answer.

If they don't follow AND REJECT the Savior (the forgiveness won at the cross and the salvation God brings) then they damn themselves. We cannot immediately say that someone caught up in sin is absolutely 100% rejecting Christ. Can YOU say such a thing? Dare you say it? That person is putting himself at risk for turning away, but none of us here can say with any certainty that he has rejected faith.

I just saw a Martin Luther quote yesterday that said just about the exact same thing you wrote!

I cant and i dont say.. But i agree with scripture which consistently warns and admonishes us against the danger.
Because a person does not wake up one day and uterly reject thier faith..
No it begins with one small small thing..an offense perhaps..or a habitual sin they begin to justify wrongfully ..it creeps and grows .perhaps they listen to some money gathering preacher who implies to them that there is grace so it matters not that they keep doing the sin..and so the deception grows and their heart is turni.g fro, truth bit by bit more and more .they dont listen to theholy spirit....perhaps they never recieved him.who but god knows.and so they become deluded in thier minds over tine and it all teacks back to a sin ,an unforgivness, a pleasure of the flesh..which they would not turn from..and so the heart is insidiously hardened and inthe mean time..the one sin has become many ...
And all because too few speak the truth..
Jesus sets us free so that we do not HAVE to,can no longer be compelled against our will,to continue in an action we know to be sin.
He gives us the power to be sons of god.
To say NO.. I will not do such a thing.

That is the truth of what the lord jesus accomplished for us on the cross.

So we MUST change our minds toward God..believe and stop .
Because to whom we yeild our members as servants in obedience..his servant we are.

You talk about the truth of the cross but where is the word forgiveness anywhere in your post?

I did underline Lord in the passage. It appears to imply acceptance of the Lord at some level. Their reply also appears to imply that they think of themselves as followers of the Lord.

Actually, the word "Lord" can simply mean "sir", simply a word of respect. See https://www.blueletterbible.org/faq/don_stewart/don_stewart_1307.cfm etc., etc.

I don't believe the Law disappears when we are justified.... but nor do I think the Gospel does. BOTH are full, both BEFORE and AFTER we become His child, His own, "saved" in the sense of narrow justification. But we've had that discussion many times and we rather passionately disagree.

Mainstream Christianity teaches basically that man cannot ever stop sinning and therefore the "God-Man" Yeshua is the only one who was ever able to do it. While it is true that all have sinned that fact does not negate our responsibility to stop sinning and cut off sin from our own "temples" as even Yeshua himself commanded on more than one occasion:

John 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

This man was made whole without the shedding of any blood and told to sin no more.

John 8:10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11. She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

This woman was forgiven, not condemned, and again, without the shedding of any blood, and again, told to go and sin no more.

Did Yeshua go around telling people to do something they could not possibly do? If what Yeshua commanded these people to do was realistic then why does mainstream Christianity teach doctrines that nullify his commandments, one of which was "go and sin no more"? Therefore, if one continues sinning then he or she tramples the blood of Messiah who gave his own blood to confirm the covenants and to confirm his Testimony. It is the Testimony of Yeshua, which washes us; but only if we understand, trust in, keep, guard, and do all those things.

Not that they had shed blood in their time to redeem themselves in their time. But that they believed in the shed blood of Messiah, and saw his day, and believed. The blood shed for our sins, all peoples sins was shed 'once' and for all. This is why there is no blood needed 'every single time' something is needing forgiveness.

Once, and for all. This makes it so men are not attempting to give glory to God through sacrifices. He was slain from the foundation of the world so that all people would be covered under his blood. Once and for all.

I was taught that there are hypocrites in the church who call Lord but don't have faith since they rely on themselves and their works.

then you were taught incorrectly .. as it says he calls them 'workers of iniquity ' not workers of self righteousness as you suggest . -iniquity is sin.. ... they keep sinning and do everything else to make up for their sin .. but it is better to obey than to sacrifice .
