as it should be
It should, but not sure why the Western Church won't do it like that.
And we ignore when Jesus died and arose in our rush to get away from anything Jewish
Fo you follow Jesus, when did He die, when did He rise? That is not Jewish although by doing what He did when He did He fulfilled some feasts but of course that is Jewish so lets get away from it
And Passover never even entered into it huh?The Lord died on a Friday afternoon and rose from the dead on a Sunday either in the early hours or just before sunrise.
And Passover never even entered into it huh?
Yup and never to be mentioned again. Do you see why it should fall on or around Passover now?
Passover is frequently mentioned in Easter season. The readings from the holy scriptures during the season make mention of it several times. Nobody seeks to suppress the word "passover" or to hide its mention in the holy scriptures. But the Church's calendar is not an attempt to keep the days, months, new moons, feasts, solemnities, and so forth of ancient times in Israel. The Church's calendar is pedagogic in character its intention is to teach the faithful the whole counsel of God by presenting the gospel's main events every year and by presenting the whole of the holy scriptures (or as near as is practical) in a three year cycle.
Yeah I notice how that is. Forget Gods time or how He gave time to us and while we are at it lets forget to keep things when they should be as well
Nope just truth unless you think we do follow Gods time or keep our celebrations on or around the proper timeThere you go again wagging a metaphorical finger :nono:
Implying that unless one follows the perspective you've advocated one is somehow slighting God - doing something that is kind of wrong or ungrateful or less than what ought to be done.

I doubt it Gods word is plain
