That makes me tired just reading it
It made me quite tired hiking it, if it's any consolation. I need to get in better shape, normally I'd walk further and take in more climbing than that. I've got another route in mind that mostly takes in forest roads rather than trails (so I know what kind of terrain to expect - sometimes trails turn out to be much harder than expected due to surface issues, elevation gain, overgrown vegetation or trail markers just disappearing completely). Anyway this other route is a little over 30 miles and at a guess takes in the equivalent of 4-500 floors of climbing. So in Fitbit terms that's probably going to be 60,000 steps and maybe 500 floors.
Maybe I'll get to walk that over the summer, but probably need a few more intermediate hikes first. There are a few routes I know reasonably well that take in 15-20 miles and only go up and over one mountain ridge
