By focusing on the future, religious leaders can ignore the beast that prophecy says has been corrupting the Church since the beginning. I've sat in Churches numerous times listening to nonsensical theology that cannot be proven from scripture, and heard Christians mesmerized with shouts of "Amen" and "Come Lord Jesus" in response. Christians are taught to watch for the end times with the Antichrist, Rapture and Tribulation (ART) so that you don't focus on the beast and the Mother of All Prostitutes that are in the Church now! Think about it, if there is a "Mother of All Prostitutes" in the Church, there must be a nest of prostitutes present in it too.How many times has the world been predicted to end according to Bible prophecy?
Why do some people continue to believe in these predictions despite them not coming true?
People will die and find out the truth about Jesus--this is what they should focus on--preparing for their eternity rather than focusing on the end times. Besides, the end time is not what has been represented. Revelation claims that during the last days, there won't be much of a Church left--as it is located in a camp surrounded by Satan and his followers that number like the sand in the sea (Revelation 20:8-9). According to Daniel and Revelation we still have about 300 years to go until we get there, so we can stop watching and waiting for the end of times--at least for now.
