Generally use the bible for bible study. If there is a word I don't understand I look it up on Google. Works well.

Not using others guidelines means not becoming biased in interpretation for me personally.

Thanks though, really.

Peace

The site she gave is the bible online, not someone's opinion so it is very useful.

It seems exceedingly thorough, and useful in the most significant of ways. Thank you. I didn't mean to offend, just don't usually use links too much, and have maybe four versions of the bible on my phone. Google translate is pretty useful to me. Iv been interested in learning Hebrew as of late. It's my understanding that it is a more poetic or fluid language. I know little about it but it does interest me.

Off topic.

Thanks for the link, I'll try to book mark it on my phone.

I've got news for you! Jesus the Christ already did what was necessary for you to have salvation yet here I keep seeing people preaching repeatedly that you aren't saved if you don't do this or you don't do that. They work hard so that God will maybe notice them and give them a crown or something?

I find it perturbing that those who say the believe in the Savior really only believe in themselves and what they think they need to do to earn salvation themselves. It's as if Jesus' death on the cross accomplished simply nothing for you? Do you even see how this thinking is so damning?

Your works aren't gonna get you anywhere, folks. Stop telling people what THEY need to do to earn salvation and start preaching what the Bible teaches, that Jesus is the way to salvation. Anything after that isn't for salvation. Get it right

start preaching what the Bible teaches......

..acts .. what must we do to be saved ?
answer

-repent be baptized and you will receive the holy Ghost !

repent -turn away and STOP sinning ....
its what the bible says .

Here is the Law and Gospel which seems to be what the problem is here.

The Law says we have to stop sinning for salvation.

The Gospel says that because we cannot be perfect, God came to earth, lived a perfectly obedient life we could not and died in our place on the cross. We are washed clean because of Him.

The Law says since we are still in these sinful bodies that we will keep on sinning.

The Gospel says that God looks at us through a cross colored lens and sees His Son with whom He is well pleased.

The Law says turn away from sin and repent.

The Gospel says repentance is a gift and the Holy Spirit guides us.

We wait for Christ's return when we will be with Him and in that time have new bodies and be one with Him. Until then, we are clay in His hands.

Amen.

Living in His Kingdom is light compared to what the world burdens you with. The freedom in Him is awesome. I rejoice in Him who has saved me. I love to serve Him who has saved me to the uttermost. What a privilege, what a blessing, and has the "peace that passes all understanding"... as I rest in Him. The world sees me and thinks it is work. Not in Him it isn't. It is easy as He said it would be. Now the cross over from Satan's world is rift with boobytraps, snares, enticements, and deceptions to trip up a poor soul on His journey into God's Kingdom. The victories put to rest once and for all sins that so easily beset us and the strength in Him comes with the fullness of His Spirit within us to live like Him. I no longer struggle with what seems to be the contradictions and controversies between grace and the law that is posted on this thread. That war is over and God's kingdom is victorious in me. It has transformed me from the ways of the world to His Kingdom and living like Yeshua did when He walked the earth. Sin does easily beset us, but only if we focus on it. The second you realize what is going on, and the truth shines through, grab it and rejoice for in it you will find the tool to overcome that sin.

Change isn't to gain salvation. We change because we HAVE salvation and God works within us. :)

However you want to word it; if we do not follow the teachings of Christ in All we do, to the best of our ability, then we won't be recognized a a followers of Christ at judgement.

I wonder what will happen at the end to people who think they can follow Christ's teachings without Him living on the inside of them.

So, now it's back to what YOU do instead of the Savior? Isn't that backwards?

We have a choice.

You are the only one putting the actions of man before the self sacrifice of Christ. Our actions must be the product of Christ on our souls. Not the other way around.

Peace

But Bill we will always be sinners, it's our nature. No one has reached perfection as a human being that are very flawed.

this post is a lie and in opposition to the word of god who states that once born again of the Holy Ghost we become a new creation in christ Jesus , are set free from the power of sin .

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" just because "you (and some others) " do not believe that dos not change the truth of it one bit .

So, now it's back to what YOU do instead of the Savior? Isn't that backwards?

it always had been .. obedience is what we do .it is what we are commanded to do by God through out the entire scripture bar nowhere .

the disobedient are the rebellious and they do not enter the kingdom of God .. not before ,not now , not ever . God has never ever change his word nor his nature not his holiness .
the Gospel must be obeyed .
