How many forums have you been banned from?

That forums has it's issues, but the current moderators are most certainly not atheist trolls.Christian forums because I read somewhere that the mods were atheist trolls
No lol that was just some weird conspiracy thing I found. But some were so extreme. I really thought: they're trolling, cause this cannot be. Well apparently it could. Why I believed it was because on that Dutch forum an atheist from the atheist forum pretended to be an extreme christian, cause he met a Jehovah's witness and wanted to save us. I immediately saw it was fake, cause he didn't know the texts and he was so over the top, but I didn't betray him. He later got banned there, so I went to their own forum to try save that bunch. That forums has it's issues, but the current moderators are most certainly not atheist trolls.
I don't know. Quite a few.
Which brings up something I like to see on forums. When a person is banned the forum should make it known that they have been banned for such and such. There should be a place, a category, called 'Banned'.
That way people don't just wonder where you went, and why. And they know you just didn't leave. I have left several forums and I always tell them why for the same reasons.

That would be absolutely humiliating to some people to see their account being shown as banned to the public. I can't do that to them.
And the winner is...LOL. I've been banned from at least 5 forums. 3 of them religious forums, 2 of them on themes that have nothing to do with religion.
The reasons vary.

That's why I gave one guy my account. As I shared above, a forum banned me and noted that on each of my posts - and THAT made me a target for all kinds of attacks, lies, rebukes, ridicules - to which I could not reply. I considered that very unfair and unchristian. I'm not sure how to handle this... yeah, it seems okay to note the poster no longer can post but then it should be a rule violation to respond to one of their posts since they can't respond.

I agree to a degree.
I do think the word 'banned' under the avatar is good for all to know.
I agree that when one is banned, then no replies should be made to the one banned, as they can no longer defend their argument.
With me, in several cases of being banned, it was never stated. But, all the moderators will know. And their friends on the forum will know. And it isn't long before some take advantage and get a last word or dig in.

The easiest solution around that is to not break the rules.
I got a warning on a christian forum for helping a guy who wanted to commit suicide. They can go climb a tree with those stupid rules. That was also why I believed they were atheist trolls. They would have banned Jesus from that forum for not keeping the rules.Amen. BUT you assume that one will only be banned if they seriously violate rules. In NONE of my cases of being banned did I violate any rules.
In a good site - like CH - bans would ONLY be for persistent violation of rules, rules that are intuitive and fair, rules that are evenly and evangelically applied. But sites like CH are, in my experience, rare.
.
Exactly right. In the forum that we're usually thinking of, all that was necessary for action to be taken by a moderator was for some protesting member to have made a personal and incorrect interpretation of the contents of a post. And no explanation thereafter was of any use because, you see, that guy took what he read to mean such and such and so felt aggrieved by it!Amen. BUT you assume that one will only be banned if they seriously violate rules. In NONE of my cases of being banned did I violate any rules.
