If they’re grilled or fried to where they char then I’ll eat them. My dad used to boil them and I absolutely dislike them that way.

Generally to be avoided. Except at a baseball game.

That's probably right. However, I am now convinced that if you or I decide to buy franks at the grocery store for preparing at home, it really is worth paying more to get the best ingredients. I say that with reference to the taste, it is not a comment about the wisdom of eating hot dogs at all.

Kosher dogs only, I prefer them grilled or boiled in beer. But in honesty I rarely eat them except on certain holidays.

I love em any way you make em. But they are always meant to eat as a sort of sandwhich. Whether it be a corn dog or chile dog.

They are not made of the finest parts of meat, but who cares? They are good and safe. As far as healthy...that is up to the individual.

A can of wolf brand chile. A can of ranch style beans. An onion diced. Two jalapenos diced. Pepper and garlic seasoning. Some Ketchup. Four sliced up hot dogs. Heat it up in a pot. After it's simmered for several minutes, throw in some cheese of your choice.

Throw a couple of slices of bread on a plate and spread mustard and mayonise on them. Add your chile mix on top. Then shread some lettuce on top of that. Then place some souerkraut on top of that.

You can eat it with a fork and not make such a mess.

That is my 'heart attack plate'.

I couldn't tell you the last time I had a boiled hot dog. I've eaten them grilled and fried, and also cooked in a crock pot. I very seldom eat them, usually only when a specific local store offers them as a freebie during sales.
