Twitter to be rebranded as X

In a rather erratic series of events, Twitter is halfway through being rebranded as X. Musk's domain x.com now leads to Twitter, and the Twitter logo was replaced with an "X". However, the twitter.com domain still works, so the entire thing seems like a mess.

What do you think? Is this some sort of publicity stunt or does Musk really intend to do this?

I think it's a strange move that I just cannot understand. I don't see his vision for this.

Strange, for sure. But I'm sure he has something planned. Time will tell. I have mixed feelings about this guy. I like him; it's just some of the things he's involved with that I'm not so sure of.
There's no way I'm getting a jack in my head. Neuralink has got the go ahead from that American government. It's great if it can help paralyzed people move, but you just know there will be other uses for it. People getting plugged into a central consciousness via Musk's Skylink.

Who knows. But it's probably a serious effort to update AND distance his company from the old owner's name for it.

While "X" seems odd, and probably is just a first step, I think of the other strange name changes we have seen. Does "Meta" seem like a good updating of "Facebook" or "Dunkin" a good change from "Dunkin Donuts?" And I personally think "Angi" was a mistake.

I think he really intends to do this, cause he called his kid A12 X or something. He likes weird names apparently. Or is it a dig at an ex? Instead of: I'm twittering or sending a tweet it's now I'm sending an X?
