God can make a donkey talk and God in Proverbs said:
“Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live.
Did the bones bring themselves to life? Nope. Same way that we don't bring ourselves to life when God gives us faith. It's God's work in us.

1. Isn't it a interesting that no matter what the thread topic is, Dave always brings it around to his repudiation of Jesus dying for all. And his claim that if faith is brought up, that makes us raging, synergistic, Pelagian, free-will Baptists because faith is always the result of sinful, fallen, death faith creating faith and giving it to self.
2. Interesting.... they prove they have NOT ONE Scripture that states what they do, and we show there are LOTS of Scriptures that verbatim, flat-out, in black-and-white words states the EXACT OPPOSITE of what they state. They don't care.
3. Logical fallacies are all over the place in their posts (hard to keep track of them there are so many). But the foundational one is this: If something applies in one case, it applies to all. "False equilization". "Ford makes Mustangs" is turned into "Ford ONLY makes Mustangs." "Jesus died for blondes" is turned into He ONLY died for blondes. It's an obvious logical fallacy we all see (except them).
4. But here's the point you're noting. The attacks on the person rather than substantiation for the position (another logical fallacy). And it results that Dave is do copy/paste from radical Calvinist websites and books. Thing is, this radical Calvinism was all developed against Arminianists - the "free will, synergist" crowd. So, what they are copying only applies when the opponent is an Arminianist. But no one here at CH is one, none TRYING to have a discussion here is a an Arminianists, we're all Monergists. So the arguments don't work. Not at all. But since they haven't thought through the position, they don't know how to frame it when they are discussing with Monergists, not Arminianists. Thus all the accusations of we being synergists, Pelagianists (they don't actually know what that is), works-righteousness. That logical fallacy has traditionally be leveled at Arminianists. It doesn't work (it's a logical fallacy) on Arminianists - and certainly not on Monergists. They have to made us Arminianists before their logical fallacy can be used on us.
