I took a longer walk today while my wife was generally tinkering around with her plants. I wasn't breaking any speed records - I really wanted to run the route to aim for a new personal best but have felt a bit odd the last couple of days so decided not to push it too hard. Now my wife is arranging the plants we've brought indoors now it's getting cooler, and I made her a new shelf so she's got more space for them.

Happy Weekend all! How are you? Today the weather isn't agreeing much with my mood, being my 34th birthday today, it's rainy, dark and cloudy all day.

Got up early to go to another appointment today.

My most recent purchase was a 5/8" drill bit 24" long to drill holes through my walls. I have yet to actually drill the holes and feed cables through them though.

Caulking in a bathroom above the shower stall (we're short so we don't see it but I was cleaning and saw that it's really bad up there), painting a bedroom and got the furnace filters to replace since it's been 3 months. I generally don't let them go that long but we've had windows open a lot so it wasn't really that dirty but I replaced it anyway.

Yick.... I did the caulking around one of our showers a while back. It was pretty grim and I noticed a few gaps in it (I'm tall enough to see the top all the way around the shower cubicle). It was fiddly getting the caulking gun into place but while I had it out I figured I might as well replace a load of the caulking that looked better but not great. It turned into a bit of a fuss but now all the caulking around that shower cubicle is nice and fresh.

I went for a longer walk this afternoon. My wife didn't want to walk so I did my 8-mile loop. I had thought to run today but I didn't sleep well last night and it felt like my legs really wouldn't thank me for another run after yesterday's. Maybe I'll run again tomorrow.
