The people on the plane did not represent a microcosm of the general population. These are legislators who meet a lot of different people of all types and from different geographical areas almost every day. Besides, if they caught the virus ON the plane, the close quarters that they all were traveling in probably made transmission more likely. And, finally, I haven't heard whether those who came up positive for the virus had, in fact, received both Moderna injections more than a month prior.

I'm not sure it's quite as simple as that - a small sample isn't always as representative of a larger sample as we might expect.

To take a simplistic counterexample, if you were to look at demographics in my area you'd conclude that most people are old and there are almost no black people. If you were to take a similar observation somewhere like Harlem you'd conclude that the population was mostly black.

It's entirely possible that a local cluster exists even if the overall numbers are accurate. If someone on the flight had COVID and it happened that the people who caught it were the fleeing Democrats the stats could still hold true.

USA Today said it was 2 private chartered flights. Another paper said that not all were on the charters and took commercial but I can't find out how many.

The CDC says that for vaccinated people that only 1 out of 10,000 will have a break through case...here we have 5 people out of 50 or 60? hmm. Something isn't right. Either they aren't all vaccinated, or they're lying about having covid or the vaccine break through cases is more than the CDC claims.

... or there's a statistical anomaly going on.

But it certainly seems odd. Maybe they are trying to blame their COVID on the Very Nasty Republicans who made them flee without taking adequate precautions. That sounds like the kind of argument that would be well supported by science.

Maybe they simply identify as vaccinated despite never having actually had a needle stuck in them. It would be hateful and bigoted to discriminate against those who are transvaccinated.

I know this sounds ridiculous to people who are already immersed in mainstream media that promote the premise, but Covid-19, as a supposed "deadly viral agent" has never been isolated and shown to cause any kind of disease. The fact that they are using guesswork (aka "assays") to identify it is actually in the CDC's own literature from July 2020. Also, the RT-PCR test can produce between 0 and 100% positive rate based on how many cycles it is running at.

The reason people "test positive" for Covid-19 is because what they are testing for is actually just a sequence of DNA that is common to humans and many other things (positive tests have been returned for fruit, goats and other things).

The Corporate (aka mainstream media) will never cover this at length, and instead focus on stories bolstering the premise because that is what their owners want the public to believe.

Just saw another news article that is now stating that 14 out of 100 people will catch the Delta variant of those who are vaccinated. That's a huge move from 1 in 10,000 will have a breakthrough.
