I love venison. I prefer it grilled on a flame pit rather than the front of my car....

Just watching the rain and feeling glad I went for my walk earlier this morning.

Howdy sup there! How’s it going so far with your day? Today, because it’ll be raining for 3 days straight, just enjoying my usual TV show before heading the sack.

Starting laundry and wondering when I should go for my walk. It isn't too cold this morning.

Hello morning all! How are you? Today, as it’s a terribly cold, wet, dark and gloomy day outside, highest temperature 7C today, just playing some games on my phone before turning myself in tonight.

Spent some time going through boxes of old stuff in the basement. Cleaned up a few pieces of wood so I could shift them from the "rough wood" to the "clean wood" pile, sorted through a couple of boxes of cables and got them tidied up. Where they were originally little more than huge tangles of cables, now they are neatly coiled with cable ties holding them together, so it's easy to keep different types of cables together. Now I just need different boxes to store them all. I also cleared some old scraps of wood, now they are cut up and dumped in one of my buckets ready to be taken out to the burn barrel. I also got some old junk together into a bag of trash ready to go out at the weekend, and some scrap metal sorted into two buckets - one is essentially copper cable and the other is generic scrap, mostly ferrous.

Yo sup guys! How are ya all doing today? Today, I’ve just taken a shower and a hair wash. Tonight, just playing some games on my Wii before tucking myself in bed.

It's a really foggy morning out right now so no walking until that clears up. We don't have sidewalks or shoulders on the streets so I have to walk on the weeds, grass or whatever when a car comes by and sometimes I don't always hear them so if they can't see me then that's trouble. And I don't want to walk in the poison ivy.

It's sunny here today. The expected high is nearly 80 so I might save going for a walk in the woods until tomorrow. SInce all this wu-flu silliness I got out of the habit of walking in the woods and kinda miss it, but it's going to be cooler tomorrow so might save the walk until then. My fitness tracker only runs for about 7 hours with the GPS on, so logging a hiking activity means I can't be out on one of my all-day hikes. Maybe next year I'll upgrade my tracker to something that has a bigger battery, and that supports hiking as an activity distinct from walking. Not surprisingly when "walking" (on more-or-less flat paved roads) I got a lot faster than when "hiking" (up and down steep hills on muddy, rocky and uneven trails). It's just that I really like the touchscreen on my current tracker, and the ones I'm looking at lose the touchscreen.

Happy weekend all! Today, I’ve just had pizza with lemon iced tea for lunch. Tonight, just playing some games on my phone before hitting the pillow.

My church is having a drive thru baby shower for charity and I'm going there this morning.

Looking at the heavy cloud cover and wondering when/whether the "decreasing clouds" in the forecast will actually decrease. Last night was the best night's sleep for at least a week, so maybe if the clouds do clear I'll go take a long walk in the woods. My wife is seeing her friend today so she can't come and rescue me if the heavens open, so I'll be a little more cautious before going out if things don't look great.

The clouds cleared enough to feel comfortable hiking in the woods so I went out. Not a hugely long walk - a little over 7 miles all in on one of my regular routes. Being a Saturday there were several other people at the park and more people than I normally see on the trails. I wasn't particularly aiming to set a personal best time but I did, which was a nice added extra. Had the sky been a little more photogenic I'd have stopped at the vista for longer to take pictures. If I get a nice blue sky before the leaves come down I'll drive most of the way to the vista, then hike in with my camera and tripod and really do it properly. I'd just rather not hike for miles with my camera gear on a day when I'm unlikely to actually take any pictures.
