Sanders dropped out of the presidential race, and Biden doesn't stand a chance against Trump. I guess it's gonna be Trump for another 4 years. Thoughts?

Hard to know for sure. There are enough voters on both sides who would vote for a turnip if it was wearing the right colored rosette that it's down to the moderates and floating voters.

It's hard to see Trump having much appeal to moderate Democrats who dislike Biden and I'm not sure Biden would have much appeal to moderate Republicans who dislike Trump. Chances are it's just going to be another round of seeing which way the floating voters choose.

There is a lot of time between now and election. Some polls have Biden ahead of Trump at this point. We will see.

All the polls had Hillary ahead of Donald, and we know how that turned out. As you say, we will see.

I'm surprised that the party that spouts so much hot air about diversity ended up with a choice between two old rich white men.

Biden has already said that he is going to pick a female vice president candidate. My guess would be if it could be someone from a key state and a minority that would be even better such as a hispanic or black female candidate.

He said that but it's still curious to see a choice between two old rich white guys. Whether he actually picks a VP candidate based purely on gender (which is in itself sexist, rather than the equality those on the left claim to want) remains to be seen. It would be nice if he'd pick someone based on ability rather than gender and color but I guess they need to be able to cry sexism again if the electorate rejects the old rich white guy leading the ticket.

You're probably right about that, especially because Biden is likely to self-destruct at some time or other during the campaign.

Expect Biden's party, therefore, to try for new impeachments of the president and, also, to increase efforts to get enacted various electoral gimmicks at both the federal and state level (absentee voting for everyone, "vote harvesting," removing the need for individuals to register in order to vote, and so on).

I heard a clip from Biden last night where he absolutely made NO SENSE in what he was saying. It's sad really that this is their prime candidate and it would be wise for the Democratic party to find someone else who might still be alive by the time the voting begins.

He has a habit of sticking his foot in his mouth. That isn't anything new. But, I think it is too late for the Democrats to put someone else in his place.

I think it's sad that the Democrats got stuck with someone who seems so unsuited to the top job. Although my leanings are Republican and so I'm happy at the thought of the Democrats losing an election, I still want an opposition strong enough to hold the government to account.

I didn't vote for him in 2016.

In these years, I've been very disappointed with his mouth and his propensity to tweet. And his own personality continues to bug me a lot.

On the other hand, what he had DONE has largely impressed me. His court appointments.... his actions for the VA and vets.... his (too weak) tax changes.... his (too weak) trade efforts... not in 70 years have we had less war and less troupes deployed.... And until this virus came along, we had the best economy in the history of the USA (even one of my VERY liberal teachers in my MBA program often praises Trump economically - while calling him all kinds of names).

If I decide based on ACTIONS rather than words.... POLICIES rather than personality.... then I may vote for him this time.

And of course, AGAIN, if I don't vote for him, then I don't vote. Because I will not vote for one who supports and defends the MURDER of 600,000 innocent, defenseless children - for any or no reason. Even if Biden didn't seem to be suffering from Alzheimers, I cannot - cannot - vote for this "faithful Catholic" who has chosen to make this infantcide a centerpiece of his policy and goals.

That video is taking things out of context. He accidentally said the wrong year and then they muted his speech. There are people who think faster than they can speak, so they sometimes seem incoherent.

That correction to the year is almost the least important thing about that confused, incoherent speech. And no, nothing was muted or held back. You can print out the whole thing if you go online like others have done and see it, word for word. It's still incoherent.

Look, I do not agree with Trump all the time and I do bot always like his style of handling issues but that being said, Before covid19 hit our economy was doing good. He has done a lot of good for our country and I feel we need more Presidents like him. Everyday, normal citizens. Not someone that spends r hhhmmmm air entire life learning to lie, steal, and cheat people. We need to demand more. States blow ridiculous amounts if money in the dumbest projects one could think of. Florida spent 3.4 MILLION on a turtle crossing to save the turtles. 3.4 MILLION????? Funny thing is the news agency there showed 5 dead turtles that couldn't read the signs that said turtle crossing I guess. But they showed the dead ones a month after the project was complete. Point being IT DIDNT WORK. Now that 3.4 million that Florida spent was out of all our pockets, not just People from FL. They used Federal funds to build it. And that's one of the smarter ones. We have to get a grip on life and stop the corruption from these carrier politicians.

I wasn't aware Sanders dropped out. Interesting though. I haven't really been keeping up. I think Biden stands more of a chance than people think but I am personally a Republican and though I don't think Trump handles it the best always he still isn't as a bad a President as some people think. He will probably win the election again though but I'm just hoping Biden doesn't win.
