I think a lot of us here already have set sites we like to go to but I know there are seekers who would welcome such a list Go for it!

If you've got some web space to use, why not write it and see what happens? Maybe break sites down into different types/denominations etc, so that things like apologetics sites that are intended to be read rather than commented upon are in one list, discussion forums like this could be grouped into denomination-specific sites and cross-denomination sites, and so on.

I'd be CAREFUL.....

Even just putting up links without a recommendation IS a kind of recommendation and support. There's a LOT of junk out there....

I can think of a SHORT list of websites where I think there are a FEW solid posters and good conversations, but I don't go there for a reason. I would not want to direct others there. 100% of the time, I direct people HERE.

Now, it's helpful to go to OFFICIAL sites (the official LCMS one, for example) for OFFICIAL positions. But people can easily google those themselves.


As I understand it, CH is one of the few sites that allows posters to recommend websites (as long as it's not clearly spamming); and I'm okay with that... but that would be in a post.

There's certainly a lot of junk but it's not as if sites like Google won't serve up the junk as readily as the good stuff. If anything the junk is more likely to show up on Google searches because the kind of theological toxic waste that's all about being rich in this life is likely to be, well, rich in this life and able to pay for advertising and search engine optimisation and other such things. In the meantime the small ministry that picks up the pieces of the people damaged by the theological garbage are too busy ministering to be funding a high ranking on Google, so disappear into the ether somewhere.

Sorry i was not clear, i like to create a website using WordPress where users can come and advertise Christian websites. I am not recommending in CH

As directories are available for other sites not for Christian websites

Anyone have some good domain name suggestions, kindly let me know. I will start a WordPress site and add all the Christian websites i can find in it.

I did a search to see how many came up and there are quite a few with the name Christian Website Directory. How about World Christian Website Directory?

The name is too long and i don't think people can remember it easliy. I thought of Chriszo.com but it doesn't even make sense.

Thanks for the name suggestion, currently i have a started Christian Forum for my country so the web directory idea dropped. But i have a section to promote Christian websites

It is still an English language site, right? I hope that will have success for Christian believers to have communication in fellowship there. I use Christian sites I have started, and a group I have started, for such communication, it is not easy to have them grow for that.

He can definitely message you the link. I'm a member there. I just haven't had too much time to post on other sites very often
