Have to get out this morning and get more Christmas shopping done. I love it that we live in the country but hate it that everything is so far away so one trip to a store takes an entire morning.

Dropped my car off at the garage for its service and inspection. Hoping it doesn't need anything, got a load of fiberglass and other hardware store stuff on my credit card this month so really hoping no more ugly bills land on it. The cutoff is coming soon.

Good night all, been dozing off with meditation, it's so relaxing. Hanging on my favorite shopping sites till dinner and calling it a day tonight.

I've been working on portraits most of the day and now am relaxing.

Had hoped to fit some more panels but found I'd cut one a little too narrow so it doesn't fit snugly, and then also realised I missed a couple of spots last time I ran the grinder. I really didn't want to have to do more grinding but it looks like I do. I couldn't be bothered getting all my protective gear on and getting covered in crud for a half hour of work so decided to leave it until tomorrow. Last time I ran the grinder I ripped out the mortar around a piece of concrete I set in place, so ended up chiseling it out. Because I couldn't fit panels I filled the gap with the concrete strip again, being careful to make sure everything was set back enough that I don't have to run the grinder yet again.

I'm soon going to have to remove the extension cord that currently drops through where the ceiling will go, so I need to connect the cable to the breaker panel and install at least one power outlet I can use in there. Always onwards and upwards, even if fairly slowly...

Good morning all, had about 9 hours sleep last night, enjoying my usual breakfast and my morning coffee.

 

[Lamb]

It's already 42F outside so I'm excited for today. It might rain later but it will be almost 60 so I will try to get my walks in at some point. I am sitting here deciding what to eat for breakfast. I'm not hungry yet.

 

[tango]

Dreary day today so probably not going to get any walking done. I hope the rain doesn't blow - I'm going to want a window open to pump air out of the room I'm working in, if I'm going to be running the grinder. I could really use an extra pair of hands so I could hold the vacuum cleaner's hose close to the grinder and grab as much of the dust as possible as soon as it's generated. Sadly God only blessed me with the one pair, so I have to improvise....

I'm getting a lot of things done for Christmas! Still have plenty left to do and time is running out fast.

Had hoped to get more done today. A little more grinding, got a couple more panels cut and fitted. Then I cut some replacement panels - where I pulled the ceiling down a couple of smaller pieces over the window were a little too short, and I figured I'd rather just replace them than try to fit a tiny piece into the gap.

I had planned to do some electrical work but working in my own shadow when I was starting to get tired left my eyes feeling a bit fuzzy and I decided that working in the breaker panel when I was tired and not quite in the moment probably wasn't a good idea. We're likely to be out for most if not all of tomorrow so it will have to wait until Sunday or Monday now.

Ugh I forgot to take a photo of some art before I framed them so I had to undo everything to take pictures. That's how my morning was so far.
