So Paul just for no reason believed while walking down a road, no intervention, he just all of a sudden decided to believe and repent?

Why don't you just believe what the scriptures say? Jesus appeared to Paul and that was a great blessing for Paul, BUT HE STILL HAD TO DO SOMETHING! He had to do what Jesus said to do and repent of his sins.

You sure fight it but it's the Truth. God really did say to repent or perish.

You reject what God has said and insert your own opinion. There is nothing more to discuss. I dust my sandals off. Remain with your non-biblical assertions.

You were taught your false beliefs by men who were in error.

1. You are WAY off topic. You are hijacking this topic. If you want to discuss if Jesus is the Savior or you are, start a thread on that.

2. I disagree with your condemnation of the Gospel. I believe that Jesus is the Savior. Thus, you are not. Paul is not. I believe we are saved by the Savior and that He did not mess it up and we gotta fix it by what we do. No Scripture teaches, "Jesus came to be the Savior but failed and now is not capable of saving anyone, BUT if YOU will just do x,y,z (good enough) then you can do the job yourself." Nope. Try answering this simple question: WHO is the Savior? IF you answer "Jesus" then Jesus is the Savior. Not you - not a bit, not at all, not now, not ever, not in any way or shape or form or manner. Salvation is entirely, wholly wrapped up in Jesus. It's entirely HIS work. HIS heart. HIS love. HIS mercy. HIS gift. HIS blessing. His life, His death, His resurrection. His Cross, His blood, His sacrifice. His righteousness, His obedience, His holiness. Not you. Not yours. You may have some other role in some other matter, but not this. The "job" of Savior belongs to Jesus. Not you. IF you answer "ME!" then you are the Savior. Not Jesus. Not a bit, not at all. Not now, not ever. Not in any way, shape or form or manner. Salvation is all wrapped up in YOU. YOUR works. YOUR will. YOUR love. YOUR efforts. YOUR merits. YOUR obedience. YOUR righteousness. YOUR holiness. YOUR sacrifice. Not Jesus. Not Jesus'. Jesus may have some other role in some other matter, just not this one. The Savior is you. Give the biblical, Christian answer and your synergistic heresy will vanish. Now, of course, once saved - the CHRISTIAN has MUCH to do! But that's not to BE saved but because he/she IS saved. And yes, one who IS saved can fall from that, but that's something only a CHRISTIAN who is saved can do. But again, start a different thread: "Did Jesus Fail as the SAVIOR?" You can present your "failed Jesus" view, you "self saves self by doing x,y,z - forget all that Christian stuff about Jesus."

Back to the issue: Is 1 John 2:2 correct or the as yet not-shared verse that states Jesus actually didn't do that but ONLY died for SOME.

You have a lot of nerve to tell me that after you and everyone else speaks of different things within the threads.

That is something you do to the gospel.

You don't even make sense. Show anywhere where I said I was the Savior or that Paul was. You know what is said about people who do that don't you?

I see you added a bunch of stuff so you can keep derailing this thread as long as you would like.

Jesus TELLS US HOW TO BE THE ONE HE SAVES.

Nope. I read God's word in its entirety. Scripture changed my position as I was raised in a semi-pelagian world of free-will teaching. I'm very thankful God has been guiding me all these years. I'm sure He will keep teaching me as I walk this path.
So...you can't lean on that crutch.

I see that you chaps like to make my threads very busy with all sorts of topics that are not quite the topic raised in the original post. But that's okay because it is how you usually approach a thread. It starts with a specific topic such as "Jesus Christ died for all" and you turn it into a discussion of your favourite theological topics such as "Is Jesus the saviour or are you?" and "it's all about the elect (baby!)". Nevertheless the topic of this thread is that the Lord Jesus Christ died for all human beings and the bible, even the paired down bible of Protestantism says so. And to help you chaps remember what the first post said I am honouring you with the labours of my fingers by reproducing it here for your admiration :)

The Lord, Jesus Christ, died for all, yet not all receive the benefit of His death, his death benefits only those to whom the merit of Christ's passion is communicated.

No way does the Bible teach what you say. What you believe is a special teaching---from men.

On topic.
John 10:11,14-15 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.
Galatians 1:15-17 But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son to me, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with anyone; nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.
Ephesians 1:3-14 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.

Jesus died for the sheep the Father has given him from before the foundation of the world.
The argument has gone on simply because people reject the Sovereign authority of God to do what He wills and not sit back and wait on sinful men to save themselves.

I have shown you passages from the Bible. You reject God's word.
It seems that you are just being obstinate.

A person has to change the meaning of 'all men' and 'the whole world' in all the languages of the whole world to believe the falseness that your doctrines say.

LOL, hyperbole is not making a biblical point for you.

Nope. A person simply has to have the whole of scripture interpret the sentence that seems contradictory to all other scripture.
Context is extremely important in understanding what God is saying. God doesn't speak in little vacuums.

Your doctrine contradicts all the scriptures and has to change the meanings of words

God says obey Me.

Your doctrine says, "No, we cannot."

God says repent of your sins.

Your doctrine says, "Now you know God that we cannot."

Yes, Jesus died for all
knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.
Romans 6:9-10

"once for all" translates as one time for all people.
This does not mean that all will accept the gift of salvation.

The error in your analysis is that you think verses that say that Jesus' death saves the sheep mean that Jesus didn't die for anyone else. But because there are verses that explicitly say that Jesus died for all the sheep are, of course, included but so are the others who do not come to Christ.

Truly Jesus only solely died for his sheep, deal with it

I have to agree with MC on this one. John 10, along with Matthew 25:31-39 shows The Judge separating sheep from goats.

In Romans 6 Paul tells us that Jesus Christ died once for all -- translates as one time for all people.
