As in the following: "Us Americans can beat them Canadians and Aussies any day! "

:lick:

or not
hah!
MC perhaps you will just have to refer to us as "The Citizens of the United States of America", I know I know, we "The Citizens of the United States of America" always make things difficult and we "The Citizens of the United States of America" apologise but lets continue to be respectively PC about it ok?
;)

Right but we call them Canadians and Brazilians. Try US Americans, that has a good ring to it :)

What's wrong with USAns? It's consistent with the spirit of abbreviating the name of the country down to USA.

Anyway, this thread is not about a proper name for USA people it is about the bible's authors and the bible's content.

I understand the thinking behind olive or even black skinned but as someone else pointed out it doesnt matter, as proven by Baleem it could be a donkey, the point is that it is God inspired

Yes, that is true brother psalms 91, but the reason I wrote the original post in this thread is that I saw a speech by former President of the USA Barack Obama in South Africa in which he discussed the formative documents of human culture. He pointed out that while many documents came from European people many also came from non-Europeans. His point is that referring to Christians values as "western values", meaning European and English speaking North American values, short changes human culture. The bible is not a product of European culture even though it played a major role in shaping European institutions. I wrote this in post #8:
I heard former USA president Obama addressing people in South Africa on the occasion of the 100th birthday of Nelson Mandela. In his lecture he mentioned the many excellent documents written by people of "western" culture that are best regarded as the common heritage of humanity rather than something exclusive to the West - he was heading off the argument that some in Africa and some in Asia make against those values arguing that Western culture and Western values are eroding traditional liberties and values of the free people of Asia and Africa; that argument is, obviously, not true. Freedom, goodness, truth, the existence of facts and the existence of moral values is not a western invention it is an objective reality. So let no one argue that what lies at the heart of Christian moral values is a western invention or a heritage preserved for the world by the west when in fact it is a gift from God given through brown Asian people from the far West of Asia. It is worth keeping our religious and philosophical roots in view so that we are not robbed of our inheritance by flimflam propagated by some in the "third world" and in "the old world" too.

Ok then. So back on the topic, sure "brown" people wrote the inspired word of God, except for Luke who would appear "white" to us...
Here MC could you pick out which color tone you believe is correct?

Come on :) You pick whatever you fancy. I am not going to decide for you. But when you pick a skin tone (I have no idea why you need to pick one) keep in mind the part of the world in which the holy scriptures were written.

lol ok well how far back should we go and what region was Adam from? What about the gathering of all nations and colors at the tower of babylon? I could be related to the writers who knows? You could to, in fact I got a little indian blood and some jewish blood in me, lol we do know one thing, it was not written near America... Unless you consider far far east to be Alaska (which is actually considered to preside partially in the East btw)
Sorry, I just wanted to feel special :(

Did Adam write any part of the bible?

What about the gathering of all nations and colors at the tower of babylon?

Did anybody at the tower of Bable write any part of the bible?

I could be related to the writers who knows? You could to, in fact I got a little indian blood and some jewish blood in me, lol we do know one thing, it was not written near America.

Yes, none was written in the USA.

Adam may have written some of Genesis, at least four different authors wrote Genesis because the wording and style changes drastically. Moses may not have written Genesis completely, he was however likely the editor tho.
Moses did author the other books Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy according to the NT. Genesis includes a line of generations so who really knows most likely records were kept on tablets and verbal communication but Moses was not alive during the time of Genesis.

Obama also deported Christians save the Muslims, he also said "America is no longer a Christian Nation", he also introduced the separation and caging of illegal children from their illegal parents, also he reinstated pro Propaganda in the media so now Americans get to enjoy propaganda to influence their minds so who knows what news is real anymore, but I believe everyone has forgotten all about that

Excuse me, but you have just been informed (above) that the name we will accept in lieu of Americans is The Citizens of the United States of America. If you fail to use it and use it consistently, you will rightly be identified as a bigot. All that matters is what we, the self-described victims of oppression and the destruction of our heritage feel and want. Nothing else matters with this issue.

This was a bizarre and fascinating thread. A little research on genetics and the Jewish people (apparently there is some interest in a DNA test for male decedents of Aaron), revealed that modern Palestinians are the closest genetic matches to historic Jews. This then led me to an image search of Palestinians which revealed a skin tone diversity that makes the very question of skin color meaningless. If the genetic researchers are correct, then some of the people who wrote the Bible were nearly Scandinavian in skin tone while others were nearly as dark as Ethiopians with every shade in between.

[Sng 1:6 NLT] 6 Don't stare at me because I am dark--the sun has darkened my skin. My brothers were angry with me; they forced me to care for their vineyards, so I couldn't care for myself--my own vineyard.

[Sng 6:7 NLT] 7 Your cheeks are like rosy pomegranates behind your veil.

Her skin was light enough to darken in the sun and her cheeks were light enough to show a blush. Well within the range found in modern Palestinians.

What a Drongo. LOL. You are not the one to decide if it is "fine" or not.

OK, you can say USA people if it titillates you that much.

Down with anti-brown! God chose to be incarnate as a brown man.
Really? God chose to be a specific skin color and so what's your point!?
Jesus most likely wasn't European so what who cares and does that make Jesus pro brown and anti white because he was born brown?
Pun or are you are calling me anti-brown?
Can't tell if you are joking but I hope you are

Love you MC but I just don't understand your obsession with race.
