TurtleHare in Post #116:

Could it be that there is an undeclared race between the races to see which race is the most racist?

And could there be a companion undeclared race between the races to see which race is most effective at promoting another race as being most racist?

Could those races really be just heats in the one combined race?

Will I get myself into hot water and take heat for bringing those racial heats to notice?

==============================================================================================

Australia is the only country in the world (according to my understanding) where someone can call a dark horse a fair cow, and be understood.

Australia also has the distinction of being the country in which a freshly elected lady politician with no affiliation with any major Party, was declared racist, because she stated in her maiden speech that everyone in Australia should be treated equally.

Could that be colouring our thinking somewhat?

I got no beef against other races and not even sure why this has become a thing here on this website.

It's not a thing here, no one is racist here.
This subject is like leaving a stick in an anthill, not sure what to make out of it.

It has definitely stirred up some ants in here ;)
Perhaps if you changed the title to "Semitic people wrote the bible" there would be less controversy as you seem to be the only one who is concerned with the color skin of the people who wrote the Holy Scriptures.

I live in Australia so don't assume that what I write is written as if I were a USA person. I know of USA culture but I am not writing as a USA person..

It kinda "sticks in the throat" of an anti-American merely to have to write the word American, doesn't it?

I wouldn't use too many "figures of speech" with MC Albion, I think he is unfamiliar with the concept.

There is inconclusive evidence that Luke was a Jew and quite possibly having a Greek name he was a Gentile.

Maybe not a stick but a knife in the back of anyone who says it don't matter about color? hmm? This shouldn't even be in the theology forum anway.

Brown people wrote the bible. Not yellow people or white people nor black people; brown ones. And Jesus was born a brown man. So why all the anti-brown people stuff that's going on in politics when our faith is founded on the goodness of brown, yellow, black, and white people whenever those people walk with God.

The skin color of Jews was olive so Jesus had an olive tint to his skin not brown.

An American is a person from any of the lands of North and South America. A person from the USA is a USA person. It could be abbreviated to USAn, Or said long hand as United States of American :)

God designs all skin pigments. I couldn't care less what each writers skin color was. At this point they're all dead with no skin at all.
But, let's just drag this useless thread on to see how long it can go.

I refer to South Americans as South Americans and Americans as Americans. USA-persons lol for real? No pun but do they really use that term where you live?

Could be, but in theory only. No one actually does it. Except for an occasional anti-American looking to get a rise out of Americans by insulting them, that is.

People from the Americas are Americans. People from the USA are Americans because they come from one of the countries in the Americas. Brazilians and Canadians are Americans because they come from countries in the Americas.

Why do you think it is insulting to refer to the USA and people from the USA as USA people. People from Spain are often called Spanish people. Besides, USA people at many sports events and elsewhere chant USA USA USA ... evidently USA people know that the name of their country is The United States of American and not "America" with no further qualification.

Right but we call them Canadians and Brazilians. Try US Americans, that has a good ring to it :)

Usains doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. Nor does Ukians for those who live in the UK. Or Ussrians for those who lived in the once USSR.

And of course, "australian" just means one who lives in the southern hemisphere and there are a LOT of people who live in the southern hemisphere who are not legal residences of a country named "The Commonwealth OF Australia." And of course, "US Americans" doesn't work because those who live in Estados Unidos Mexicanos are US Americans, too.

BUT I REJOICE that the opening poster seems to finally have left behind the horrible racism of this thread..... Maybe it now can be closed.
