What is the particular importance of color again considering those who wrote the bible? Does the bible speak about it?

The holy scriptures will answer your question if you look through them and ask a question about the matter under discussion. Song of Songs, the story of Ruth, Rahab, and the Ethiopian Eunuch give some insight and the many many passages about how God wants his people to treat strangers who enter their land.

It would seem as though that want on the part of God would apply to all peoples.

That's not what I asked. Your answer did not respond to what I was asking about the color of the people wrote the bible being pertinent in scripture. I did not ask about how people should be treated according to the bible.

So.... NOTHING WHATSOEVER about the color of anyone's skin. I agree. I find the OBSESSION of this thread about how much pigment a person has in their skin to be at best unbiblical and irrelevant.... and more likely, offensive and condemnable.

We don't know WHO penned most of the books of the Bible..... or the skin color of those who did..... and for the life of me, I think the OBSESSION of the op on skin color is disgusting and trying to impose that on the penmen of the Bible beyond amazing.

People wrote the bible and that happened because God told them to do it, color don't matter.

Amen! Skin color has nothing to do with anything (the OBSESSION of liberals to the contrary).

The obsession of liberals is to divert from what they don't want you to see by pointing to something obscure and make a mountain outta it.

If you were referring to strangers then yes it would apply to all strangers.

But it is the answer that I gave.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and that the hour of our death.

What does the "Hail Mary" prayer have to do with the subject of color or strangers?

In THIS thread, that the obsession with skin color may END. May the dream of that Baptist (named after Martin Luther) come true: "I dream of the day when my daughters are judged not by the color of their skin but rather by the content of their heart." (paraphrasing) Too many liberals are OBSESSED with doing all they can to deny that and do the opposite.

The non-paraphrased quote is I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin, but by the content of their character. Spoken by a black man who knew how terrible racism can be and now tenaciously it clings to the mind even of people who think of themselves as good Christian citizens.

I am well aware that Dr. King was black but you find it necessary to state the obvious. What are you suggesting then? That it's only relevant if the statement comes from a black man and that Josiah a non-black man is irrelevant when quoting him?
Is that not racist?

I realize this was spoken by a citizen of the USA..... and a man named for Martin Luther.... and a Republican for all but the last 4 years of his life.... but MY dream is that the racism of this thread will END and that there will be no more thought (much less mention) of skin color. Even by non-Americans, non-Protestants and liberals.

"...NEXT THREAD...." in other words, OTHER thread. Sad thing is, this thread seems very racist to me.... the whole point is skin color.

SIN means we put importance where it doesn't belong and don't put it where it does. But this is SIN and is not to be promoted and defended and willfully perpetuated....

OBVIOUSLY, that famous American preacher (who was named for Martin Luther) HATED the sin that caused people to threat people by the color of their skin RATHER THAN by the character of their lives. Because he saw that as SIN. Unfortunately, there are many in our world who are OBSESSED with outward things like gender, race, ethnicity, etc.... and equally who care less about character, integrity, morality.

I have a dream.... that this whole thread will be deemed very inappropriate and will be closed.
