I've only had one dog who died when I was 15. My wife had two cats when we met 25 years ago. We have always had cats.

Ah okay. I grew up with all kinds of animals! My mom loved having pets around and we were never empty. I wanted to get a gecko long before they became famous for insurance LOL

We had a neighbor when I was a kid who later became a vet. She had a shed behind her house with about 30 or 40 guinea pigs and hamsters. I think she sold them. i'm really not sure though. As a kid, I just thought it was the coolest thing ever. I would love to have a bird but with numerous cats around that would be murder.

That would have been awesome!!! We had a guinea pig and then she had babies a while after we got her! One was a male so he had to go but we had the mother and daughter until they passed away 5 years later I think it was. We had parakeets with our cats and the cats were afraid of the one because he was evil. LOL

I may have mentioned him already but one of my cats is a male Casper. He likes to kill almost anything smaller than him that moves. He's killed squirrels, moles, birds and rabbits. He had a baby rabbit in his mouth a few months ago and I made him put it down and it ran off. Lucky little guy.

Hi JS and lamm, we have had a variety of animals here, from gold fish and tropical fish, rabbits, gerbals, guinea pigs, terrapins,hamsters, and cats.. and now just cats and they are so spoilt and so lovely ...I just wish my kitty would stop giving me mice at 3.30am ... as then I have to try and catch it as my daughter wont let me get it in a trap so have to lease it back outside again..take it for a walk in a pot with a lod on..lol and let it go in the local woods..One actually made itself comfy and ruined my boots etc .. I caught it after that and out it went...

good. My parents were visiting earlier this week, but they went home yesterday. I see them about once a year

I don't see my parents very often anymore either. I was hoping my dad would be able to visit this month but he had some stuff at home that had to be taken care of.

What things did you and your parents do for the visit? Restaurants? Shopping? Tourist things?

they came up because my son graduated high school last Saturday. We ate out a couple of times and went to a museum one day. I'm running out of places to take them since we do something different each time and I've lived here 11 years

Summertime festivals? Greek fests? Church festivals? Art festivals? Where I used to live there were tons of festivals from spring through fall. It was great. Where I live now there aren't that many.

Aww. I saw online that there is a local beer fest around here but it cost $40. I don't drink so I would only pay $5 to get in. That's still a lot of money to wander.

we have a lot of great things small town wise here.

We have some front step concerts in front of the library. They usually have some good music there!

We also have arts festivals in my city and down the street in another city, too.

I should get my big butt out and go to them! LOL:thumbsup:
