Is there a thing that can be done that will not be forgiven? If so what is it?

What else would you call blaspheme of the Holy Spirit if not attributing ithe works of the Holy Spirit to satan?

It is our doctrine that can lead to the conclusion that the Spirit is evil. Any such doctrine that can be concluded to show GOD in such a false light as to show HIM as evil has potential to be the cause of blaspheme of the Holy Spirit.
We should all check our doctrine closely and repeatedly for this very reason.
All sorts of blaspheme will be forgiven; even blaspheme of the name of Jesus the Christ. But that isn't making GOD out to be evil.
What doctrines conclude that our GOD is evil?

Mark 3:20-30 NASB
20 And He *came home, and the crowd *gathered again, to such an extent that they could not even eat a meal. 21 When His own people heard of this, they went out to take custody of Him; for they were saying, “He has lost His senses.” 22 The scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying, “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and “He casts out the demons by the ruler of the demons.” 23 And He called them to Himself and began speaking to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. 26 If Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but he is finished! 27 But no one can enter the strong man’s house and plunder his property unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.
28 “Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter; 29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”— 30 because they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.”

**********

From the context, psalms 91 hit the nail on the head ... they were attributing the work of GOD to Satan.

For the unsaved, what is the primary 'job' of the Holy Spirit? Is it not to point men to Christ. Someone who "blasphemes against the Holy Spirit" will be rejecting the things of God as 'evil' and refuse to be drawn to Christ. Is there any possibility of Salvation apart from Christ? Does someone who stands with a heart so hardened against God that they reject even the testimony of the Holy Spirit have any hope of salvation apart from God?

Thus one who "blasphemes against the Holy Spirit" stands in resolute opposition to Christ and, therefore, "never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin" ... the sin of eternally rejecting the testimony of God.
One who commits the unpardonable sin, will not worry about whether they have committed the unpardonable sin ... they will already be totally heart seared against anything of God.

Here is from the commentary of David Guzik:
i. We understand what the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is by first understanding what the ministry of the Holy Spirit is all about. Regarding the ministry of the Holy Spirit, Jesus said, when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment (John 16:8), and that He will testify of Me (John 15:26).

ii. Therefore, when we persistently reject the work the Holy Spirit wants to do in us and when we have a continued, settled rejection of what He wants to tell us about Jesus, then we blaspheme the Holy Spirit.

iii. The blasphemy of the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven – not because it is a sin “too big” for God to forgive, but because it is an attitude of heart that cares nothing for God’s forgiveness. It never has forgiveness because it never wants forgiveness God’s way.

iv. “These words were never intended to torment anxious souls honestly desiring to know Christ, but they stand out as a blazing beacon warning of the danger of persisting in the rejection of the Spirit’s testimony of Christ, until the seared conscience no longer responds to the gospel message.” (Ironside)

pops, I think you have no clue what we are discussing since you are attacking me rather than answering the question I ask as it relates to the topic thread.
I cannot help your ignorance in this matter.
How have I attacked you by answering your question and asking you to stay on topic and leave your insults to yourself?

Here's a question for you specifically.

Can you name one doctrine of man that makes GOD seem evil?

Pops, you've wasted time with your concerns about me. I have addressed the thread. Focus on the thread and stop addressing me.

Wait a moment. Speaking against the Holy Spirit may be blasphemy. Calling some unscriptural religious practice 'the work of the devil' is not blasphemy.
Better be sure it is unscriptural is all I am saying

What.....you are a member of this forum and the question I asked you is indeed the very reason I made this thread.

Anyone can answer; I just figured I'd give you the first shot since you like to imagine I am clueless about the topic of my own thread.

Can't you answer a simple question?

Your repeated refusal to even attempt to answer questions is tiring.

Sure, but there's also that matter of thinking it blasphemy when it's just a disagreement over whether something is Scriptural or not.

Would it be possible for a child of God to have God's grace removed from him? If so, does grace no longer remain grace?

Where in my comment say that the person who does this is a believer? I never said that.

The question is still worth asking.

Can a believer blaspheme the Holy Spirit and thus have God remove His redemptive work from that person?
Honestly, why is this so hard for you?

Already answered.

And again, no.

I'll go into detail if needed.

It would be really great if you could try answering a question; such as the one in post #22.

What do you mean by "doctrine of man?"
Are you speaking of the philosophy of humanism or perhaps the philosophy of free-will? They are brothers you know.

That's odd as both are expressly taught in the Bible.

Just any doctrine you are aware of that makes the Holy Spirit of GOD out as evil.

Free-will doctrine. It places God below humans since God is viewed as being evil if He doesn't bow to the wishes of man.

I would also caution that the devil is an imitator of God's gifts. Thus, the devil provides false tongues, false healings and false prophesy while masquerading as an angel of light.
Discernment is needed.
I don't care mennosota, never call a pentecostal demonic! Like you had done before. Keep it to yourself because you a dead wrong. These people are the moat holiest people I have ever known. It is not of satan and you have your right to question it however you wish but never question the Holy Spirit working in them, they are definitely not the works of the devil. Listen to what psalms said, and also we should never judge how another believer in Christ wishes to praise his or her Lord. I dont care if they use prayer beads, candles or baptise and eat the bread and drink the wine, be respectful because it is either of God or is against God and is of the devil, I promise you that it is of God for these are Godly men. Have some respect. As far as the devil fooling people, this would have a global impact and yes false prophets such as Jonestown and that comet cult and david koresh those are what people need to watch out for.

Like all denominations there are wolves among the flock. There is much demonic imitation taking place in Pentacostal churches, of which you should be discerning.

What....wow....I don't think I have ever witnessed something so wrong to me.

Are you trying to say that free will isn't biblical?

Are you a Calvinist?

There is no teaching of free-will anywhere in the Bible. The concept is entirely a man-made philosophy...which you uphold.
As I said before, humanism and free-will are man-made philosophies not taught in the Bible.
Calvin is one person who simply observed what God shares in the Bible.
