A boat defeats the purpose of being stranded.

The Island may be in a position where your Ground Positioning System doesn't work. I know most people think they can just go anywhere and pick up "satellite" data - but if that were true there wouldn't be massive cables under the oceans connecting the internet nor the need for transmission towers on the ground
