I love basil pesto.

They used to have this basil pesto sauce at Panera. I’d use it as dip for their sprouted grain rolls. I also love basil pesto pizzas. Like chicken pesto.

1Tbs of
Salt

Basil
Oregano
Cumin
Ginger
Thyme
Sage
Marjoram

1tsp of
Cayenne Pepper

Plus the onion and garlic I add to the mix of chic peas and potato.

What fat do you presumably use?
Thanks.

I don't add any fat to these, although I may mix in some ground flax now and again for Omega-3 fat. The only other ingredient I use besides what's listed is flour (usually just white flour) - as the potatoes and chic peas are cooked, when blended the consistency is semi wet, and I need to mix in a little flour to dry a bit and form into shapes before cooking (in oil...yes, that's an ingredient too...so I guess there's the fat from that as well).

Thanks, I couldn't imagine a sausage [or meatball] without added fat, even if a bit of mayonnaise. Thanks again for the reply.
