I think you missed my point.

Peter told Cornelius not to worship him (Peter). The angel told John not to worship him (the angel). When people worshiped Jesus he never corrected them. Hence my point that we shouldn't worship mere mortals (as Peter told Cornelius), we shouldn't worship angels (as the angel told John) but we can worship Jesus.

Yes this is true. Jesus even in the flesh was/is God and deserving of worship.
