Not vegan. Vegetarian. And I did intermittent fasting. That's when it all started. And no, it's been going on for years. The "healing crisis" is a myth. I've listened to a lot of naturopaths talk about it. There's no such thing. It's just something they say to avoid admitting that they are clueless about why their methods don't work. Human pride. Admitting that they just don't know what's going on would be much better.

So your issues *started* after going Vegetarian and doing some fasting? Interesting. All kinds of issues cleared up for me going semi-vegetarian then vegan. I count it as one of the most important and beneficial decisions I have ever made.

Did you change your beliefs from Christian to deist before, during or after you became a vegan?

The road to Deism actually started at Christian Forums, my former haunt. There were hardly any deists there, so it wasn't like I was influenced by them initially. Not that I credit any forum for anything, but I had already stopped church attending and my experience at CF was initially o k...and then it turned real ugly.

I'm not a pure Deist in the true sense of the word. From what I understand from a Deist forum I did eventually participate in for a while, Deism tends to reject revealed religion outright. Any revealed religion. Someone makes a claim of a religious nature and well, the Deist is going to ask you to back it up without more revealed religion. Although I understand this intellectual cautiousness, especially with regards to religious claims, I can't deny a certain resonance with parts of Scripture (and some other religious writings).

I came to *this* forum as a non-vegan, and signed up as a Deist.

How many years did the transition from omnivore to vegetarian and then to vegan take?

Gosh I don't know. I cut out pork and shellfish many years ago both on Biblical warning and health warnings. I still ate meat early in my time on this forum and eventually went Vegan. Calling myself "semi-vegetarian" is probably not accurate, I only mean that I was eating less meat than a typical westerner, but not enough to be considered a vegetarian. I pretty much went from sometimes eating meat to completely Vegan.
