Visionary you waste your breath as this one has already formed his ideas and is not moved from it

Since nothing has been said to support the idea, no breath has been wasted except to try to explain why it cannot be explained. If you were truly honest, you'd admit that. But you'd rather lie to support your mysticism.

And still nothing. The fact that you want to hold onto this lie just shows your pridefulness. You have nothing to back up your claims, even though you say you do. You are a liar and should repent. Sorry that it's come to this and I have to be so harsh. But it's a charade what you are promoting. Sure, folks like Bill will hang on your every word. But folks like him also have no grounding in scripture. If it's a bit mystical, he'll buy it hook, line and sinker.

Stop looking for signs and look to Christ. If you do, you'll repent of this nonsense.

3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,
4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. - 2 Timothy 4:3-4

If this doesn't describe those who are buying into this nonsense about blood moons, I don't what is.

Seems to me that defining a blood moon as a set of four lunar eclipses all total and all occurring within 4 years is not something ever defined or mentioned in holy scripture so why do folk who claim to follow sola scriptura as their foundational method of formulating and deciding doctrine follow the idea of blood moons thus defined?

No, you cannot explain because you have no biblical support.

Repent.

You've said that there is biblical support for the significance of the blood moons, but have yet to support it with scripture. This far into the discussion I'm left to conclude that you are lying. Maybe you've bought your own lie. But a lie it is.

A church friend of mine called me to go outside and look at the "blood moon".

I grudgingly got up and went outside.

A tree was blocking the moon. I did not go around the tree and went back in a house.
This way I could tell my friend in church that I did go outside to look at the moon after he called.

Is it lying? :dunno:

OK here is scripture support.
Joel 2:31
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.

Acts 2:20
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:

Now it did not say anything about this particular blood moon. what made this one important is historically, when blood moons happen on the High feast days of the Jews, it has meant war for Israel. So, Keeping that in mind, we can now watch to see if war happens in Israel. We know that the Palestinians has declared intifada and are carrying out various acts of mayhem in Israel right now. We know that Hamas has been firing missiles into Israel. We know that Hezbolla in Syria and Iran have designs on Israel to wipe it off the face of the Earth. We know that Russia is now in Syria bombing targets right on Israel's doorstep. We know there is a U.S. presence in Israel, and a U.N. presence right there on Mt. Hermon. So, IMHO all of the ingredients for a major war to take place right there in Israel are there. IMHO When we see blood moons as spoken of in the scripture, it is a sign /warning that something significant is about to take place, especially in Israel. Now call me crazy, but I believe this is one of the ways Our Father speaks to us, by signs in the Heavens. I know everybody does not see it that way, but that is ok with me. I watch and pray. There are many who do not believe in watching signs. But our Father said that the heavenly bodies will be for signs.
Genesis 1:14
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

So why would He say that if He did not mean it ? Now for the last two years we have had blood moons on our Father's established feast days. It does not happen often. Does it mean the end of the world? I don't know, and neither does anyone else. Does it mean something significant is about to happen. I think the answer is yes. It is a sign/warning to us that something is about to happen. Our Heavenly Father is a supernatural, all knowing, ever present, all powerful, lover of our souls. He said there would be signs in the heavens. We must believe Him
Luke 21:11
And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signsshall there be from heaven.

Luke 21:25
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

We see all of this! Look at what is happening all over Europe with the Syrian refugee crisis.Millions of people running for their lives from war. Isn't that distress of nations? Look at the hundreds of thousands who have died in recent years by the sea roaring with tsunamis, and thousands dead from earthquakes in places not know to have earthquakes.Ebola and SARS, antibiotic resistant super bugs, and other pestilences occurring in the world. And it is not even bad right now. It will get worse.. Lord Jesus tells us to watch for these things. It behooves us to do so. All of this is my humble opinion from reading the scripture. But there is much hope in the scripture also. Lord Jesus said when you see all of these things happen, look up.
Luke 21:28
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

So this was the blood moon Joel was referring to?

Brother, I really don't know. I just know what I said. How will we know if this is the one? There have been blood moons before on High holy days. In my opinion, when we are not sure, watch. Our Father gave us the sign to watch. So I watch and pray, especially in light of what has happened in history. So, imho if scripture says the blood moon is a sign, and since we have seen significant things happen in Israel on previous blood moons on holy days especially with the four in a row ;we should expect it to be Joel's whether it is or not simply because because our Father said it. It is one of the signs in the heavens that we are to watch for along with the solar eclipse. Maybe our Father wants us to be on our toes. He does not tell us exactly which blood moon it is going to be, but we know His word is true and that it will happen exactly as He has said. So watch and pray.

So you'll say anything that in your estimation is significant, if it happens, will be a fulfilled prophecy because of the recent blood moon? How much time would have to pass before you would say it is not a fulfilled prophecy?

I did not say that anything is fulfilled prophecy. Let's get that straight. I did say that history has shown that the four blood moons on Israel's holy days have proven significant events happened to Israel. We will know prophecy has been fulfilled until it happens. But, like I said, we can watch for it. There was prophecy that said Israel was going to be reborn. It was. Prophecy even said Damascus would be turned into a heap of ruins and it's very cityhood would be taken away, and the royal power cease. We are witnessing Damascus being turned into a heap of ruins in this latest civil war.But it still exists as a city. Assad is still king. But, imho that is something to watch to see if prophecy is fulfilled completely as outlined in scripture. How long will we wait before we will say it is fulfilled prophecy, we don't know, but we know it will happen just as our Father has said.

Hi Brighten04.

Usually the prophecies are to be followed in a very strict manner.
Let me give you an analogy ...
When Princess Diana died in a car crash a number of paparazzis were waiting for her to take some pictures.
In order to elude them she had 2 limos. One was a fake one and the other that she took.
The photographers started chasing the fake limo and she went the other way.

It is similar to the prophecies.

The way prophecies get fulfilled is when everything is happening exactly how the Scriptures say and in the exact sequence.
If even one detail is off, it is a fake limo and we should not watch for it.

Can you share with me the exact prophecies that you follow and maybe we both can look at them and see if everything fits exactly as it is written?

Thanks, :)
Ed
