I never said no significance. I said I didn't know.

So then it's safe to assume that God has not communicated to us what the significance would be. That's how we would know. Otherwise we could claim that any event was significant.

That is a concern, that we don't see ... Is it us who don't see or is it God who doesn't communicate to us the significance of the blood moon, the dark sun, and the great earthquake and its relationship to the end days... All I know is to watch... this is a heads up.

Ad hominem are logical fallacies.

It is called times and seasons. God has never done or allowed anything major without some form of sign or warning so yes, the blood moon was significant

The trouble with this is that you're taking a statement that makes sense and then concluding something that not only doesn't logically follow from the first statement but makes no sense in its own right either.

If God does nothing without some sign or warning it doesn't automatically follow that a blood moon is a warning of something specific. The concept of times and seasons doesn't infer that a blood moon is a warning of something specific.

If I might cross-reference other threads where we've had similar discussions (most recently the other Blood Moons thread) the pattern seems to be consistent - the argument (such as it is) could be used to support all sorts of other theories. We could have lifted your post word-for-word and changed nothing more than "blood moon" for "Hale Bopp" and concluded the people who thought that comet was significant were correct. Likewise we could say the same thing for a Perseid meteor shower, Halley's comet and a whole host of other "signs in the sky".

If you've got something to indicate why this blood moon is significant and how it is significant do please share. If all you've got is a generic prediction that "something will happen" in a sense that's no more specific than BA Baracus and his "that's bad man, real bad" then it's hard to take it seriously because anyone can predict doom and gloom knowing that sooner or later something will happen that they can point to and claim they were right all along.

So how do you know if you're watching the right things? It would be a shame to be looking up into the night sky watching for a blood moon if we later find out we should have been looking up into the day sky watching for an angel with a trumpet.

Yes, we need to take that into consideration too.

Where is that taken into consideration among all the talk that the blood moon is significant?

You have to take all the puzzle pieces and try to put them together to get the big picture... It is a work in progress..

How do you even know that you have the right pieces?

A work in progress... is what it is...

So you really don't have anything biblical. You don't know if you have the right pieces. You don't know when you find them. And you don't know what they mean.

Yep... except that part about knowing if I find them, and what they mean, and how they will be the fulfillment of scripture. If you had only OT to study, would you have been any better than those in Yeshua's day, watching Him fulfill the prophecies and know it was Him. As Peter was told by Yeshua, "God revealed it".

Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

We should be studious, prayerful, and hopeful. Our greatest blessing will be when God reveals it right. Just like Peter stated "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God" before Yeshua blessed Him with a congrats, you got it right.

John 5:39 "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."

So far today, you've twice used scripture incorrectly. So you might want to learn some basic hermeneutics first.

What method(s) would you use to determine whether the work is progressing in the right direction, or when it is finished?

Prayer, study scripture, prayer, study scripture, and God will step in to guide. God will determine when it is finished.

Prayer and Scriptural study are good, can't complain there. I'd be interested to see Scriptures that indicate what, if any, significance this particular lunar eclipse may have.

We will see... What is going on in Syrian war escalation, decimation of Damascus, Pope visit to UN, US... playing nice nice to the crowds, if this is the start of the end,... we will see.

Sure, I won't dispute there are all sorts of things that could be signs of the end approaching. I just get very wary when people point to one thing as a sign, speculate as to what the sign might mean, and then revert to generic Scriptures about God giving us signs as if it were evidence that all the detail they added is correct. I've also seen a few folks who look at something, then look backwards for the "sign" that preceded the event and try and make out that they have some special insight because they linked the sign to the event (after the fact, of course).

That's not a dig at you, just a generic observation. I guess "once bitten twice shy" applies in all sorts of places :)

The next "blood moon" is scheduled for 2033 I am told ... but I doubt that will be the harbinger of doom and the end of the world :)
