My apt is way too small, but I'm not gonna do all the effort to try get one with an extra room in a lousy part of town and then move, which also costs a fortune. Now if I can get a house in a good part of town I will do it immediately.

I think it is a both situation. We could have spent less buying a similar sized house in the bad parts of town, but chose to look in a better part of town and pay a little more.

A house being served water from a water supply poisoned by a nearby factory and getting away with it while the relatives unexplainably get more sick more often without knowing why. The PGandE Erin Brockovitch story. Size of house doesn't matter.

A house under/near cell phone/radiation towers. Who cares if it's a mansion?

A house in a high crime area. Worth more space when one's anxiety level at being broken into or assaulted as you take a walk in your neighborhood is elevated?

A house next to a noisy neighbor or one who hates dogs/cats and your pet is poisoned.

For you. Do you want a big house in a lousy neighborhood or a small house in a nice neighbourhoud or maybe a small house in a lousy neighbourhood to convert the bunch there. A mother from a friend from a christian school was happy that she lived in a lousy neighbourhood, to be a witness there.

I'd prefer a smaller house in a nicer neighborhood, and as for the idea of witnessing, there's as much a need for that in a neighborhood populated by people who have done relatively well in life as there is in a poor neighborhood. Possibly, even moreso.

Yes and it also lives cosier. It amazed me that she said that. I wouldn't have thought of it. Lot of poor muslim immigrants live there. There's crime. No thanks. She: Oh how nice that I can be a witness for Jesus here.
