The scriptures you posted are pointing toward a burnt offering. And how Job did such out of love for his children according their number.

I don't recall a sacrifice for the legalistic friends of Job. Could you please post the scriptures pertaining to such?.

lol Those who know me know that one of my nasty retorts usually begins with - I'm not going to do your homework for you. But for you, once again here it is

Job 42:7-9

7 After the Lord had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has. 8 So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and sacrifice a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. You have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.” 9 So Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite did what the Lord told them; and the Lord accepted Job’s prayer.

Thankyou, that was very kind of you to share. Faith and the land of Uz. How close the relation is when offering prayers.

Though, how will someone know the land?

Jeremiah speaks of such.
And Michah .

Cassie,
The reason I bring up Abraham and the sacrifices our Lord instructed him to bring is to see if you have seen the pattern.

Then you can speak of the poor.

For those reading about Burnt offering./olah/(brought up) Look to Abraham. And what he was first instructed to bring. A hiefer, she goat, ram, and 2 birds.

God always makes the first move to offer complete redemption for mankind and in fellowship with Himself. That which is brought up or presented to according to Leviticus 1:9 is that which is an aroma pleasing to the Lord as outlined in Leviticus 1:1-7 and took place at the bronze altar which is were Jesus was also sacrificed; outside.
Job said in Job 9:32-33
“He is not a mere mortal like me that I might answer him,
that we might confront each other in court.
If only there were someone to mediate between us,
someone to bring us together,{/I]

The tabernacle provided that at the time of Moses in the Old Testament to provide the workings of the Old Covenent. The brazen altar foreshadowed the cross of the New testament Who provided His work in the new covenent Romans 6:23 as substitute for sin(s) John 12:32 clearly outlined as the only means now left open to come to God John 3:3 John 3:6 Hebrews 9:22
1 Corinthians 3:11
For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.

The old covenent was brought in by Abraham as you pointed out. ((((((((( For those reading about Burnt offering./olah/(brought up) Look to Abraham. And what he was first instructed to bring. A hiefer, she goat, ram, and 2 birds.))))))) which btw I did look up to find the biblical reference.;) Genesis 15:9

Abraham believed God for His promise of a seed/inheritance Genesis 15:6 and that was counted to him as faithful righteousness, accomplished not by might, not but power but by the Spirit
Romans 4:1-5
What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, discovered in this matter?
If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about—but not before God.
What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”
Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation.
However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.

Genesis 16:1 goes on to speak of Sarah and Hagar who are an allegory symbolizing the 2 covenents old and new Galatians 4:22-28

Hagar, the concubine of Abraham, signifies that the position of the law is like that of a concubine.
Sarah, the wife of Abraham, symbolizes the grace of God John 1:17, which has the rightful position.
The Judaizers, being under the law, brought forth children of slavery, slaves to continual sacrifice of sins.

Like Sarah, grace brings forth children unto sonship; these are the New Testament believers. They are no longer under law but under grace Romans 6:14. They should stand in grace Romans 5:2 and not fall from it Romans 5:4.

Abraham's covenent set forth boundaries of the good land (the land of Immanuel) Isaiah 8:8
Galatians 3:16
The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ.

To inherit the unique promised blessing of the NT/NC we must be one with Christ. Outside of Him we cannot inherit the promises given by God to Abraham. In God's eyes Abraham has only one seed, that is, Christ. We must be in Him that we may participate in the promises given to Abraham. He is not only the seed who inherits the promises but also the blessing of the promises to be inherited by us. For the Galatian believers to turn back from Christ to the law meant that they would forfeit both the Heir and the inheritance of the promises.

After these incidents, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying,
"Fear not, Abram; I am your Shield; your reward is exceedingly great."

And Abram said,
"O Lord God, what will You give me, since I am going childless, and the steward of my household is Eliezer of Damascus?"

And Abram said,
"Behold, You have given me no seed, and behold, one of my household will inherit me." גוַיֹּאמֶר אַבְרָם הֵן לִי לֹא נָתַתָּה זָרַע וְהִנֵּה בֶן בֵּיתִי יוֹרֵשׁ אֹתִי:

And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying,
"This one will not inherit you, but the one who will spring from your innards-he will inherit you."

Think on the Birds.
And He said to him,
"I am the LORD who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to possess it."

He said, "O Lord GOD, how may I know that I will possess it?"

So He said to him, "Bring Me a three year old heifer, and a three year old female goat, and a three year old ram, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon."…
