"Tempt" has two meanings: 1) to test by trial; Strong's Greek G3986, e.g. Jas 1:12. 2) to entice or enticed to evil; G3985, e.g. Jas 1:13. As it is seen, the prior is the use of "tempt" here in Heb 4:15.

But 'tempt' is not the issue with Christ. We know that he was tempted, but we also know that he did not sin.
