I have made at least three attempts and my friend request has been sent and been ignored since practically the beginning.

I have prayed for him, and offered more. I've posted scripture which pointed out the love of God for us all,
that God's mercies are new every morning, and he calls us to let brotherly love continue, and was mocked for that.

I still harbor no ill will, my hand of friendship still extends, I've posted a request asking what more I can do.
In spite of the fact that I've been attacked, not just on doctrine, but personally, I've still tried to be friendly, as I've tried to be friendly to everyone here.
Peace in Christ.

God bless you, brother, thank you, this means alot.
I actually have been a bit discouraged of late, for a few reasons, but that situation has been a big part of it, and I've had to take a look in the mirror, and also I have some things to consider moving forward, but that's much easier if the joy of the Lord and support is there as well with good cheer, and I want that for everyone here, too.
Maybe some season of pruning is coming, or maybe it's Armor adjustment, idk, like Brighten04's thread mentioned, it's important to have on the Helmet of Salvation, I just have to make sure I'm not wearing it backwards lol. :boggled: God bless you.

I didn't know anything about that, and I would make every attempt to not use the ignore button..... I would always hope to resolve any issue as a brother in Christ.
Reasoning together, prayer, helpful counsel from others, etc., and maybe as a last resort, not interacting for a time.

If that issue you mentioned is really a problem, hey, been there done that, and plenty more, and yet the Lord hasn't cast me out. He's delivered from many struggles, and THROUGH many others.

But I'm not the type that's had any kind of BOOM, DONE, all gone all at once deliverance. But Jesus has set me free from being a drunk, and even quit smoking cigarettes after forty years a pack a day, .... I NEVER thought THAT would happen!!

I dont know, maybe I can help the guy, I sure would be glad to talk to him. I hold no ill will or animosity, and if he's struggling with that, I sure do hope he gets set free from it, I know just how much of a stronghold and devastating it can be, yet how often times it seems like the only consolation, and the only keeping you sane.

That's not true, though, but that's often hard to see, especially when you feel like life has dealt you nothing but crap.
But Jesus can break EVERY chain, I know that He can and does!

I'm praying for the guy, and myself, too. I need to be more understanding, and also remember where I once was and the verse that tells not to be too high-minded, I dont ever want to think I'm all that and then some ... Pride goes before a fall, and I dont ever want to go back to the old way of thinking and acting, no matter how bad I think things are at any given time.

Jesus said in the world we would have tribulations, but He overcame the world, and He didnt promise to take us out of the valleys, but to go through them with us, so we could be of good cheer, and encourage each other along the way. He's our Good Shepherd and Faithful Friend.

Absolutely 100% right there with you brother!

I guess some bigger things need to be removed so then other more subtle things can be revealed and brought to the light for the Lord to work out.

Maybe an addiction of some sort we get set free from, and then we find this underlying issue of anger or jealousy or whatever it might be, cold-heartedness or pride, whatever, that's an ongoing struggle but we never saw it as such a big deal because it was masked by the addiction.

The bible talks about , 'And such WERE some of you, but you were washed' .... Hallelujah! And that sets us free to grow in grace and in the knowldge of Jesus.

That word GROW tells me I've still got a ways to go, ... and we're all at different stages of growth, but we have our Saviour, our Good Shepherd, and His Word and fellow believers to encourage us and help us to grow.

What a gracious God that He would do that for us.
He saves us, He adopts us into His family, He leads us beside still waters, He gives us rest in green pastures, He feeds us and causes us to grow, and He's bringing us home to be with Him in His Kingdom.

(I guess I should've just posted Psalm 23 lol God says it better than I ever could)
All in spite of those addictions and things we do that cause pain and hurt to ourselves and others. God bless you on that journey, brother, and thanks for your good words.

I thought you two were going to try to be friends?

You didn't hear that from me ;)

Someone here uses very flowery language meant to flatter and misrepresent. Snerfle claims to be a victim however I can point to numerous posts where he has insinuated I am Satan, or a purposeful deceiver cackling behind the scenes. He puts his spin on everything to play it like the victim. Neither has he "reached out to me" 3 times. Another lie. I got 1 friend request - which I dumped because I do not wish to be the friend of someone who seems extremely phony to me. Oh wait - that'll be taken as another "attack". So be it, that's how I see it.

No from me LOL.
You said Paul was a false teacher, then he stood up for Paul and indicated you were one lol when you rolled your eyes. I told him that went too far and he should remove that post, that was playing on the man, but he was grocery shopping without a tablet. He later said sorry for that. But this response from a thorn in the flesh was also not very handy. He did say sorry for it though.

There you have it. Two answers to the same question.
This person has repeatedly attacked me personally,
as has been done again right here.
My answer to Lamms question was I've made three attempts.
That was not a lie.
My friend request went out early and went ignored,
but it is still extended and pending.
My other requests were made in posts, also ignored. Not a lie.

This poster continues to seem to think he knows what's in a person's heart, and he judges and condemns based on his own musings, but that is typical of a person who is hurting. I had posted some things quite unrelated to this, and this person came right in and posted mocking gifs, Lamm questioned what that was all about, I said it was like a thorn in the flesh, this person then didnt like that....I even subsequently apologized for that, that went ignored, I was attacked again, and so I questioned what spirit is behind all that, but in my opinion, it's becoming more blatant. But I still harbor no ill will towards this person, but sincerely pray for his salvation and healing, and the offer to help I've made before in other posts still stands.

I really don't know how anyone can come on a christian website and say the things this person does, both to fellow members in a personal way, and also about others in the faith, ..... repeatedly calling Paul a liar, trashing the great majority of the New Testament and it's writers, including Paul, Mark and Luke and at one point pitting Jesus against Peter and telling us that one of them is a liar and we should pick which one, ..... and not be considered an enemy of the cross, but still the arm of the Lord is not too short that He cannot save...Jesus saved me, wretch that I am, He can save anybody.

The fact that those kind of things can be said and the poster remains on, shows a tremendous amount of grace and restraint on the part of the sites owners, hopefully it leads to less personal attacks against fellow believers both here and in the bible, and brotherly love continues in Jesus' name.
Thx, GBU.

Surely your threshold for "personal attack" is quite thin. I said you strike me as phony, and I am not lying. I said you use misleading language - and you do. I said you use flattering langauge, and you do.
You have also tried to manipulate people (and been sucessful to some extent) by crying "unity" - making this kind of statement "Unfortunately there are some even to this very day , that want to cause separation and strife, a sort of attempt to divide and conquer or neutralize and confuse"
That's quite a list of accusations and assumed motives. All yours. But I guess some poor sod has to be blamed when they pull up bible verses that show conflict...because we can't have anyone thinking about those things...just cry "Satan" and let's pick up some stones. Afterwards, we can sing Kumbya.

What exactly do you want? Some kind of ringing endorsement? You are the one that keeps attacking me. I spoke my honest thoughts in the Paul/Zealot thread. I pointed out inconsistancies with people's stated beliefs when they were expressed, then posted examples from the very text in which they are written - biblical passages.
And you don't like it. Hey, dude - that's not my problem. Stand up and be a man and answer the points - point by point. But no - you don't do that.
What do you do instead? Call me Satan in so many words. Then insinuate I'm a purposeful deciever cackling behind the scenes. Then say my sole purpose is to cause "seperation and strife. Divide and conquer or neutralize and confuse. "
But you don't answer the points.
If that is all you can do - then swallow it. You have no rational answers to the points I brought up - and you don't like it - so you go on the offensive grand generalizations and accusations.

This poster continues to seem to think he knows what's in a person's heart, and he judges and condemns based on his own musings, but that is typical of a person who is hurting.

Example? I'm using your own words, dude. You're a new member here and you already have taken the initiative in trying to "run the show" with both your flattery and your "calls to unity" - while saying that I'm basically some sort of wicked devil because I question things you take for granted.

I had posted some things quite unrelated to this, and this person came right in and posted mocking gifs,

Hmm. Let's see. A "cool" onionhead and a smirking one. After that - a ghostbuster holding a twinkie.
Fact is - you have no idea what was meant by those, you just assumed they were goading and went with it.
They weren't goading or mocking - but you aren't going to get an answer to what they mean, sonny. That's my business.

Lamm questioned what that was all about, I said it was like a thorn in the flesh, this person then didnt like that....I even subsequently apologized for that, that went ignored, I was attacked again, and so I questioned what spirit is behind all that, but in my opinion, it's becoming more blatant. But I still harbor no ill will towards this person, but sincerely pray for his salvation and healing, and the offer to help I've made before in other posts still stands.

You know what, dude - I really don't give a ratt's butt what you think of my "saved state". In my opinion - it's only arrogant individuals who make this determination about others in the first place. It's not your call. It's God's call. Full Stop - end of story. Focus on your own relationship with him and stop trying to "save" everyone else. The Messiah already came and ascended to Heaven. Salvation belongs to Him - His decision. HIS.

Here is a great example of your misleading words. I have stated numerous times what I believe and why I believe it - with examples of why in numerous instances - such as with Saul/Paul. I have not "trashed" Mark or Luke - I have simply stated that I do not take them as pure and unadulterated and I have also said that when one compares them with Matthew and John numerous inconsistencies show up.
In your language this is "trashing". It's a great example of misuse of language to generalize and misrepresent someone's view.
*I* do not pit Jesus against Peter - PETER DOES - with his own words and actions. If you want to ignore things like Peter's three denials - and Messiah's vieled reference to them at the end of the Gospel of John - then be my guest and what all that could mean - be my guest.

Never mind your opinion of whether I should be allowed to post here, newbie. You mischaracterize my words in grand generalizations and assumptions - then praise the powers that be for the grace that allows your generalizations and characterizations of my words to remain. That's quite a feat, if I may say. Also Highly manipulative.

Now back to the subject matter. Hi-tail it over to the Paul Zealot thread and answer posts point by point.
On subject matter. Without using your manipulations, calls to herd mentality against the heathen and your flattery of site owners for having the tremendous grace to put up with an individual who is questioning aspects of the faith.
Questions deserve honest answers - not derision. Derision and calls of heresy (or the like) just shows the weakness of a position.

Welllll....ummm...
Except you WERE the one who said yourself you weren't saved in another post, I was merely re-stating it. As you say, 'using your own words ..... Dude' lol.
But you're free to change your position.
If you're now saying you're saved, praise the Lord, that's an answer to prayer.

You show alot of spunk, dingo, I kinda like that. On the other hand, your tough guy talk don't mean too too much on a computer screen halfway around the world.
But I understand, I used to be just like you, bitter, angry, resentful, thought I could work my way to the top or at least find some revenge or satisfaction by running everybody else down.

Any time somebody said something decent, they weren't to be believed, they were just blowing flattery,.....I thought everybody else was a liar, just like you think about Paul, Peter, other bible writers, people here, .... I thought that way because in a sense I knew deep down that's what I was, whether I wanted to admit it or not. Hey, it's true that we're all sinners, and we all come up short.

It's so much easier to try to point out the flaws we perceive in others, whether real or imagined, then to look at our own. Have it your way.....
But the bible is true, and stands the test of time and attack over and over, and always will. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but Jesus' Words shall not pass away.
You can say what you want about me, it means nothing.
Actually it's written somewhere, Let God be true and every man a liar, so have fun with that one.

You ain't the first to question or challenge God's Word, many have tried and failed throughout the ages, and I doubt you'll be the last.
But it's written in the bible that every knee should bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
Amen and amen! :) That was in Paul's letter to the Phillipians, right?
Chapter Two. Praise God, and may He give you comfort and blessings as you read and believe His Word. Peace.
