Poppy seeds. They get into the crevices and they are almost black so they really stand out. Not only that but they are small enough to be real devils to get out again.
Sadly I love poppy seeds, I really like bread rolls covered in them. So I just make sure I've got something on hand to fish them out from the assorted dental crevices.
