My husband and I used to go to a huge annual party ($40 per person!! but we got a discount) and always had fun. I saw pictures last night on Facebook and it looked like they had a blast. Now we don't do anything.

I don't like corned beef (WAY too salty for MY taste.... and I understand the Irish have never heard of it, lol). I don't like Guniness beer (Harp is good - it's made by the same Irish company but MUCH better).....

Not having a drop of Irish in me, my "celebration" is limited to wearing something green IF I happen to think of that when I'm getting dressed (which rarely happens). But hey, don't let me rain on anyone's parade! I'm all in favor of cultural celebrations! When is the day when tens of millions of Americans celebrate GERMAN heritage? DANISH heritage?
