I was so smart to say yes when my kids wanted to iron. Youngest one not only ironed the shirt but also his belly. Screaming. Put him 10 minutes under the water. Called a doctor. After 6 mins they still hadn't picked up. Bye! luckily my sister is a doctor. It didn't hurt anymore, she said I didn't need to go there. Bought stuff to put on it so it stays clean.

It was not so big luckily and now it doesn't hurt anymore. Really stupid to think he could do it. He's almost 7. His 8 year old brother just ironed a shirt.

Ouch! When stuff like that happens I think of what I read once where there are tribes who don't stop children from going near the campfire because getting burned once will teach them to not get too close next time. So your son's future wife is going to be REALLY mad that her husband refuses to ever iron again but oh well, he won't get burnt again either!

I do hope he heals quickly and the pain subsides.

We cooled down yesterday and I don't think we even hit 80 degrees. My wife and I went to the big city park and we found they were having a small car show. This park is usually over crowded but there was an arts festival in town and that drew a lot of the usual crowd.
