HOW did I miss this???? Yikes! I had no idea bunnies ate animals.
🤣
It's a candy mouse. The kids are so sloppy, they often drop candy on the floor and Flip loves it, but he looks just like a cat who caught a mouse.

We're in a holiday house in a Northern province and yesterday I biked to the city, but my son stayed home and wanted my phone, cause his is ruined since a kid from his class let it drop. So I didn't know the way back, had no GPS and I'm not used to remembering the way anymore and it all looks similar. Fields, woods, ditches, the same roads. So I biked in circles and came to the same point 3 times, but eventually after asking 4 people I found the way back. I came in some village with a map and saw that they had hid Jews in the war. There's a museum. It's one of the 2 villages worldwide that got a Yad Vashem thing for the whole village. Watched a short movie about it. They threatened a 4 y o kid to drown him if he didn't say where the Jews hid, so he said where they were. A guy said that. It was his little brother.

Now theres fire and smoke and the meat will satisfy Levitical law. The coals were bad.

Jessie the dog is conked out and I'm just taking it easy, waiting for this flare to end. I got the A/C turned off and a nice breeze is blowing in the window. I think this is the part of summer I like most. That cool breeze that smells like summer! Reminds me of my youth.

I got up early so I could hopefully go to the park and finally hike for the first time in a week.

My son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter just got back from 4 days of camping. They had great weather. And my granddaughter had a great time! The dogs were excited to have them back. Summertime and the living is easy!

I had the best dream this morning before waking up! In the dream, my husband found some kittens who were feral and he let me keep one and she was light grey with a bit of white on her. I'd call out Kitty Kitty Kitty! She would come running to me and jump in my lap. Ah, the love of a kitten.

We can't have any cats since my husband and daughter have allergies. But it was so nice to dream about.

Right now I'm finishing breakfast and remembering the sweet dream.

We had really bad storms roll through last night and the power kept going off and on. I was worried my laptop had gotten fried, but it's fine. I might need a nap later though because I didn't get much sleep.

Trying to figure out how to reframe the walls in the room I gutted. I ripped all the featherboards off so now I'm back to bare concrete blocks, and nothing is quite straight. So I need to figure out where to put the walls to maximise the amount of space inside the room (i.e. limit the wastage behind the walls) while also making sure everything is as straight and perpendicular as I can get it.

If I can figure out where to put the base of the walls I have lasers that will highlight where to put the top bars, and from there it's easy. But trying to figure out how to get everything positioned is proving tricky. I had one piece that looked pretty good but a perpendicular to it wasn't even remotely close to parallel to the next wall around.

What I might end up doing is making a couple of giant L-shaped pieces with a known good right angle in the corner, and moving them around until everything looks as good as I can get it. That said it's possible the best course of action is to minimise wasted space behind the wall and accept that some of the angles won't be quite perpendicular. That makes it trickier for the drywaller to do the ceiling but I guess that's what I'm paying them for.

I've been keeping relatively busy the last few months. Here are some things I've been doing:

- Putting together circuits, both in real life and in simulation software. Some of the circuits I did: EveryCircuit - Trickle charge through resonant RLC (click Strav for more if interested). Electronics is not my native field/talent, and learning it/better understanding it has taken some time.

- I made this:
- an easy to build little steam/Stirling engine (it's sort of both)

- I continue to write music. Mostly this in the Baroque era style.

Australia is finally coming out of Winter, a time when I tend to semi- hibernate because of the weather and into spring. Spring is one of my favorite times of year here. And it's the best time to -

- Make charcoal briquettes out of garbage (mostly wood based....paper, cardboard, tree cuttings and even weeds/grass). Doing this is exciting to me mostly because it's material that would otherwise be discarded. I only spend a little $$ during a small bit of blending (to reduce rough Carbon powder to dust powder) , and my time, of course.

-Spring cleaning - desperately needed
