This morning I arrived at the office. Someone walked around in a pink bath robe. We don't have enough houses, so Ukrainians now live at the office. When you go home they walk with strollers. Luckily collegues watch out and don't drive hard, cause I saw a small kid run to the other side of the road and his mum ran after him.

I'm working on creating a couple of mini baskets for my husband's sister's birthdays this month.

Oh my mother has her birthday tomorrow. Big party. She had fallen and couldn't visit my dad for a month, but now she has no pain anymore. Last week I visited my dad alone, but he didn't say much, so I called my mom to videochat and then my brother said: oh we can come too. So he pushed her around in a wheelchair you can borrow at the old people's home and I pushed my dad around in his wheelchair. It was so cute. They were holding hands in their 2 wheelchairs. There's a tiny shopping centre nearby where we went for coffee. We'll do that tomorrow too. I always buy him icecream. He loves that.

I'm on the way back home now. He always gets so happy when I give him an icecream. It was sunny. We ate pie on a terrace. She really liked her birthday party.

My kids sometimes drop candy on the floor and Flip loves it. He just had a Haribo cola bottle in his mouth. So funny.

Chose today to make my hash brown-vegetable mixture for the week. Took about 1.5 hours

Ingredients:

1 sack of potatoes
2 Bell peppers
3 onions
6 cloves of garlic
several handfuls of flax seeds
small amount of oil
salt

When finished, I freeze them in portions to defrost as I need for the next day.

Doing this eliminates the waste I often encounter when I buy sacks of potatoes...as I would normally not use them all before some went bad/started to sprout.

The potato water I squeezed out of the shredded potatoes is saved for when my wheat finishes malting, as I plan to convert it to a malt/glucose mixture with the enzymes from the malted wheat.

Got woken up early from the loud wind & thunder. It's pouring right now and still windy. The fireworks for this evening have been canceled.

I'm off to get the groceries! It will be packed at the store.

On the way home from visiting dad. There was a storm, so on the way there it took me 2,5 hours. A train didn't go. Now only 1,5 hour.

We're on a holiday in a big fat house. Everyone has their own room. I took this one cause it was the cheapest and they said it was a caravan. This is not a caravan lol.

The badminton racket broke, while playing w a soccer ball, so now we have invented a new game with wash board things.

We are having really heavy rains today so my garden is about ruined Next year I'm going to do it differently and it won't be out in the flood zone.

So, what am I doing today...just visiting forums.
