Happy weekend all! How are you? Today, I’ve just had leftover pizza with lemon iced tea for lunch. Tonight, just playing some games on my Switch before lulling myself to sleep.

Lots of driving today, slightly over 400 miles in all. But we got to see our friend and had an awesome day. But now I'm tired from all the driving.

Feeling a bit drained today after a long day yesterday, I feel like I could sleep for a week. The weather isn't very nice today so I'll probably end up getting my daily steps at church rather than a proper walk.

Looking online for a new oven since ours went out. The stove top still works so it's not an emergency to get one right away.

Is it something you can fix? Sometimes if you can just replace a fuse or a thermostat or something it's a lot cheaper than buying something new that will only break a week after the warranty expires.

It's an old oven and we're happy to get the life out of it that we did so far. I wouldn't want to pay someone to come fix it and then have something else go wrong with it soon anyway. Plus, this oven doesn't have a simmer burner and I miss having that! I'm sick of trying to simmer things only to have them boiling all the time and ruining the dish. Mostly stews need to be simmered and I haven't been able to make a proper stew using this oven.

Doing laundry and going out to clean the grill to use it later for pork chops.

This morning, I’ve just gone outside in the sunshine and much milder weather than last week for a most enjoyable and quiet walk, meditation, breathing exercises and yoga session, currently feeling like 5C. The afternoon, just playing some games on my phone before heading to bed tonight.

Got a few errands run. We have someone staying with us over the Easter weekend so needed to get a few things ready for their arrival. Mostly it was about replacing some of the older bedding in the guest bedroom that we realised was well past its prime. The bedside table I've been refinishing can also see some active service.

Preparing for our Easter visitor some more. Despite regarding that room as "finished" for some time now it's surprising just how many small odd jobs are outstanding. I needed to find a bedside lamp, and still need to attach a door stop to the floor and a hook to the back of the door to hang a bathrobe and towel.

i wasn't feeling well this morning, so I called in to work and taking a day to rest and recharge.

The guest room is now ready for its first ever overnight visitor.
