Went out for a walk this afternoon. This was a pure walk - no jogging at all, even though my system felt like it wanted to go faster I decided to take an easier day because I set a good time yesterday. As it happened I still set a pretty good time given I was walking the entire way, and my fitness is obviously improving because I wasn't far off personal best times for walking but I don't think my pulse even made it as high as 130.
Now I've got a couple of wooden plinths I made from recovered cedar wood in the basement drying. The top sides have two coats of lacquer and the underside has a single coat, that's currently still wet. I only put a single coat on the underside because there doesn't seem like a lot of point putting another coat on. Once that's dry I've got some small feet that stick on, to keep the underside from rubbing against whatever we put them on. My wife uses them for a couple of ornaments she has. The lacquer really brings out the color in the cedar wood, they really look very nice.
