Trying to clean up. Prayed 5 minutes. Havent gone to church in months. The one member we had was on a holiday so there was no church. Today I could go cuz kids are with their dad which almost never happens on sunday, so i wanted to go to my mom and sleep there and go to her church but then ex said we had a prayer meeting and later he called it off. He was having a kids service w the kids. At least they get something. Been looking for churches here. They're all so far away and I know nobody. They used to have conferences or night meetings. Well I'll just pray alone that we get a church in this city. If it's that hard for me to find something, what about people who aren't even saved. How on earth are they ever gonna find a good church if they're interested. We need revival here.

Hey you can start your revival! Talk to people invite them over, talk about God and what He has done in your life. You may be able to start a home church like this

At Starbucks. Been a few weeks since I went out for a coffee. The sun finally came around to this side of their patio so it's warming up a bit. Beautiful day. Nice to have my job worries relieved, finally

Eating breakfast and waiting to go out to Home Depot. I need more spray to kill the aphids on our bushes out front. I should have had my husband by 2 containers the first time!

Today is the day I finish screwing my new roof strut into place and hopefully get the rafter cut. Then I can walk in and out of one crawl space and crawl into the other.

I had a nap :)

Naps are good when you feel sleepy.

Strut is installed, rafter is cut, boards are removed. I can crawl into one space and can walk into the other, now I need to duck my head rather than performing contortionism to get into it.

So far the roof hasn't collapsed, which is reassuring.

Trying to get energy to clean up the mess. Cleaned up some and put a laundry in the machine. Thought the kids would come but they didnt so now I also didnt go to work. Doing very interesting stuff on internet. A guy asked where it is in the O.T. that Jesus would rise after 3 days. Paul says Jesus rose on the third day according to the Scriptures. I look it up. Even Michael Brown doesn't come up with a convincing text for him. I was like: it's gotta be somewhere. Jesus showed the Emmaus guys. Now I found one after a few hours searching: Nisan 14 passover Nisan 16 first fruit. 1 Cor 15 says Jesus is the first fruit. It's the third day.

My roof is still standing and now I have lighting in my crawl space. The progress never stops. Not much fun working in 110+ degrees but the work won't do itself.

Slept through my alarm so I didn't go to work. No kids today. Filling in useless questions and looking at half a mess I still have to clean up.

Sure. Feed me pizza!

Pizza is cheaper than hiring a plumber :)

Today's excitement was getting the car serviced (not a DIY job, at least not yet!), then fixing some mortar issues on the house. There are cracks such that from inside you can see daylight between the bricks so before I put the insulation in I want to make sure they are all sealed. One of them was interesting - I tapped the remaining mortar with my cold chisel and ended up with a half-inch gap between the bricks. That took more mortar than I'd expected to be mixing. There are still a few more patches to fix but it was really unpleasantly hot so I decided to quit while I was ahead.

Tomorrow maybe I'll get on the ladder and pull down the higher parts of the interior walls, the parts I can't reach from the ground without raining plaster dust all over myself.
